lovely zen relaxing resort great service , clean,

It is a long drive to get to Tulum over 1 1/2 from cancun airport . The hotel itself is very zen and relaxing with a cool chill vibe. great music plays throughout the day . All the area has very low lighting , sandy paths bungalows surrounded by greenery that is well kept and nice .very clean. The rooms are very nice with curtained beds and comfy with a patio overlooking the ocean. . there was a small pool which we used since the ocean had the sargasso seaweed! pool is small. Loud banging music from nearby hotels was so annoying. lasted one sat night until 4am!! Wish this resort was in a different location , because we loved the vibe and service but not the area . Service is especially great. they take time to care and especially “Sergio remembering all our names and what we ate for breakfast! so attentive ! ck in was easy , good security . The area around the resort is ok but precarious narrow roads allot of cars and construction going on muddy roads to walk in! small art park. is cute. street has very pricey shops !$$$$ The food at the resort was very salty and I did send two meals back. And learned to order without salt. however they did accommodate my gluten & dairy allergies. delicious fresh fruit daily. I would say they need a new chef and menu , it was expensive and not especially appealing. we ate elsewhere especially across the street where Papis tacos 3/$10 were great. and a great coffee / cocktail bar with a fabulous bartender! The area is ok but precarious narrow roads to walk in! went drove to to several cenotes and a Mayan family experience which were great. Mojito bar downtown fun. the hotel cocktails were ok but pricey for MX $15-17. went elsewhere to drink. Ellios greek restaurant nearby was fun get the grilled fish (/ hummus- but not shish kebab go figure! ) attention: we stopped in Playa on the drive there to pick up snacks and food at a grocery store and the van was broken into & several suitcases were stolen . sad start ! we think they target rental vehicles even though it is a very public lot!! not sure if we would return unless they move the resort lol
