The food was delicious! We ordered a few different appetizers and then each of us ordered a different main dish. We all cleaned our plates and ended up ordering dessert as well. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to all our needs. I cannot recommend enough!

My girlfriend’s bracelet went missing. She filed a report with the hotel. They said it takes 72 hours for a formal report. They are refusing to give her a copy of the report so that she can file a report with Amex through her travel insurance. They also have not given her an update on the status of the investigation included you keyed into her room during the time that her jewelry went missing. In what world are you not entitled to a copy of the report that you filed for your own property going missing on their property for over $2,000. Please make sure that you lock away all valuables. If you file any reports take a pictures of your own documentation. Do not trust the hotel to do a thorough investigation. This spoiled the experience. As it relates to the overall resort: Pros: the grounds are nice and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The beach is clean and the ocean was calm. The breakfast Buffett has decent choices. The staff is nice. The massage at the spa was good. Would recommend Sol as a therapist. Cons: The food is not good and is usually cold even at the hibachi. By the time the chef gave us our food it was cold. The drinks are watered down and the entertainment is lack luster. The lobby bar closes at 11- you can go to the disco. Lots of people bring their children to the bar… that’s b/c there is no alcohol in the room. This definitely is not 5 star… they should improve the quality of the food, entertainment and customer service responsiveness. I usually stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres and would recommend there or Majestic Elegance if you want a hotel in this area.
