Cavo Orient Beach Hotel & Suites

It was an amazing stay had own pool sun on all day staff made us feel so welcome always a big smile food not very good unless your a rabbit but some okay yes in middle of nowhere but got taxi into town on way back dropped off some other holiday makers and they were paying £900 a night so this hotel was cheap for money

This is a four star Greek Hotel, with six star staff, you will not find a warmer welcome, nicer staff or better customer experience from these lovely people. We had a swim up with shared pool, it was the nicest room I've ever stayed in, the bed big, firm and comfortable, plenty of seating, and spotlessly clean. Our room service perfect. We knew the hotel was fairly remote, but it has its own beach, and we loved walking through the ancient olive groves that surround the hotel. We hired a car from a local company, £22 a day for a class C. There was always plenty to eat, the Greek Salads of course and lots of oils, the sweets are amazing. Perhaps not always to the British norms, Pizza and chips was a breakfast option, with a side serving of buttered carrots. But always a full English and eggs cooked fresh for you if you ask. The restaurant manager was lovely and constantly checking temperature and quality. Drinks, okay, local and for people who like premium brands they are available but not on the all inclusive. I was okay with the selection of cocktails. By the way the Barman at the poolbar is absolutely lovely, charming guy with a dry sense of humour. A couple of plus points, LGBT people will be treated like everyone else, no issues, and the hotel is disabled friendly with ramps everywhere although it's a ladder into the private pools. We loved It, but please folks be nice to the staff, some people treat them like dirt, so so rude. The other tiny down side is the children, parents letting kids run riot. Washing their hands in the drink fountains, touching all the food, running around the restaurant, and being a hazard to older and disable people.

Took an 11 night stay on Half Board basis flying from Newcastle with Jet2holidays who gave us an up-grade 10 days before we left to a Deluxe Sea View room at no extra charge. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. Large King size bed which was very comfortable as were the pillows. Twin wash hand basins, balcony with small sofa and 2 chairs, but take note the sun does not actually shine directly onto that part of the hotel, though there were lots of sunbeds available elsewhere. I understand the hotel was built in 2019 and was showing some premature signs of use i.e. the stainless steel bins etc in toilet* ready for replacing as were many of the sunbeds and parasols outside *toilet paper not to be put down the loo! surprising in this day and age but the hotel is based in a small village and probably insufficient drainage infrastructure to link into. There is a pool side bar and a popular beach bar and drinks were inexpensive, though several guests on All Inclusive basis were not happy as they were not allowed to use the beach bar and had to traipse up and down via steps or lift to bring their drinks near the beach. The few hiccups we had were that there was cold water only in our shower three times and it was still hit and miss when we left; the lift to the beach broke down twice but was quickly repaired and the a la carte restaurant, well, just a mirror of the food in the main restaurant but with table service-many people disappointed. The Cavo Orient Beach Hotel is lovely and very relaxing. The Staff are without doubt the nicest, friendliest, and politest I have met in Greece and I have no hesitation in returning to holiday there again, and well done once more to Jet2 for their usual efficient Staff at both ends. Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. We stayed bed and breakfast every day a bottle of water was put in our room when the room was made up very clean hotle and rooms.Fresh beach towels every day with no charge. Staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful.

From start to finish we loved our week at the Cavo Orient. We were shown to our junior suite with sea view and we’re not disappointed. A big room with super king sized bed, two sofas and a balcony looking out over the med towards Kefalonia. Heavenly. The staff were without exception friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean with regular fresh towels and bedding. Breakfast was good. We ate at Vardiola’s up the road and Porto Romulus which was superb and only a 5 minute walk. Just up the road is Sun and Sea Zakynthos who were fabulous and ideally placed for car hire, taxi and trips. Such good value and wonderful service. For a quiet getaway, Cavo Orient is hard to beat! PS tiny comment: relocate the mirror in the bathroom so you can see in it to dry hair/shave!
