We read all the reviews so were a little nervous but it was the only accommodation available by the beach over new years eve so we booked it. Then not long before we we were to stay there they changed there name to Ajinta it looks like they are really trying to turn this property around see my review for Ajinta

Used to be luxurious now is run down, dirty not worth the cost

Very dirty rooms, linen dirty, house keeping have to ask for service, room clean 4 minutes in room, restaurant bar by beach customers are a hindrance. (6 customers in bar, placed order 45 minutes later still waiting. Staff in resort lacking motivation and possibly lacking good management (except lady that gave my wife a floral arrangement she made from the garden) Location is perfect. Beach is great. Breakfast ok but halal Bath ceramic pealing off and was very dirty, could not use. Complimentary peanuts eaten by resident rodent. For the price many other resorts better, I-hut resort and paradise beach resort were 2 places we visited and looked awesome. Unfortunately in the island, Chams House is known to have been luxurious prior to covid but now many complaints about the cleanliness and the lack of management

Better then expected!

After reading some very negative reviews me and my girlfriend were worried the place would be a mess, however we were actually pleasantly suprised when we arrived. The pool was working and very nice with a great view (some of the tiny tiles were loose but who cares?) The room we got (ocean view with jacuzi) was big and clean. With a nice view of the ocean and a little part of the beach. Breakfast buffet was great. Enough options, altough it's mostly outside so it could get hot. Staff is very helpfull and friendly and even called us to make sure we had tickets for the ferry (they need to be booked in advance online) the beach was lovely crystal clear water and enough beach beds to use. The food at the restaurant is nice not the best, but there are lots of restaurants on the island you could visit if you want something else. Overall chams house is a great place to stay, with friendly staff a nice calm beach area and great vacation vibes. just dont expect to be in a 5 star resort!
