From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we felt warmly welcomed. The porter greeted us promptly, assisted with our luggage, and showed us to our room, setting a positive tone for our stay. We were allocated a spacious ground floor room, featuring a comfortable king-size four-poster bed and a large, modern shower. The room was spotlessly clean and opened onto a lovely terrace with a view of the beach and sea—an ideal spot for relaxing. While there was a coffee machine in the room, there was no kettle initially. I requested one from reception and, although I was informed that kettles were in limited supply, they did eventually manage to provide one after I explained my need for it. The beach is just steps away and beautifully maintained, raked daily by two incredibly helpful lifeguards who are always on hand to assist with sunbeds. There are plenty of loungers available. While there are no umbrellas, the palm trees provide ample natural shade. We visited in July when it was relatively quiet, and finding a shaded spot was never a problem. I understand it gets much busier from November onwards, so shade may be harder to come by during peak season. The gardens are beautifully kept, and we were lucky enough to have a large mango tree right outside our room—fresh mangos at your doorstep each day was a real treat! The on-site restaurant was a highlight of our stay. Located just next door, it offers both indoor and patio seating. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and had no trouble getting a table on the patio each morning. Breakfast always began with a selection of fresh fruit—papaya, melon, and pineapple—followed by a choice of either a full English or Jamaican breakfast. The breakfast service was consistently excellent, and a special mention must go to Lisa, whose bright smile and cheerful “Good morning!” made us feel truly special every day. We’re extremely grateful for her warm hospitality. We also dined at the restaurant for dinner on 13 of our 14 nights, and the food was consistently outstanding. The menu blends French and Jamaican influences, and everything we tried was of exceptional quality. We understand the owners run a farm and source much of their produce from there, which likely explains the freshness and flavour. While the meals are on the pricier side, the quality more than justifies the cost. On one evening we tried the restaurant next door (Coco La Palm), but the food did not compare, so we happily returned to our hotel's restaurant for the remainder of our stay. Overall, we were 100% happy with our holiday. This lovely little hotel on Seven Mile Beach in Negril exceeded our expectations, and we’re already planning to return next year. Jamaica is a beautiful country, and the people are incredibly kind and friendly. While there are beach vendors, a polite "no thank you" is all that's needed—they’re respectful and won’t bother you further. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, warm, and authentic Jamaican beach experience.
