Chatur Playa Real Resort

I do not often write reviews as it appears only the positive ones get published. This is an honest review of our recent 10 day all inclusive holiday and hope the hotel will accept our comments and try to improve for future guests holidays Greeted at reception by very friendly staff who made the check in very easy. Looking around the reception area is was very apparent that the hotel was in need of an update. Shabby furniture cracked floor stair tiles and general decor in need of decoration. Room. A double room with a balcony over looking the pool. The Ikea type furniture was old and dated , wardrobe doors falling off, bathroom shower in the bath, two plastic hand basins old and stained. No complementary toiletries only a soap dispenser in the bath. Towels changed every day except Sunday ??? A kettle in the room with no complementary coffee, tea, milk or sugar . An old stand up fridge in the corner. Very tiered room in need of updating. Restaurant. Too small for the number of guests at breakfast and dinner some days needed to wait for a wipe top table. Breakfast. Typical English breakfast food not much choice for vegetarian people. Dinner Always seem to be fried beef , chicken or pork just cooked i n different sauces with vegetables. **THE FOOD WAS NEVER WARM ** So glad there was a microwave to heat up the cooked meats. Even the fresh put out hot food was only warm maybe pre cooked before serving . Fresh pre cooked cold chips and chicken nuggets. The sweet was a a small selection of sticky cakes or ice cream jelly sometimes fresh fruit but you needed to be quick. Overall the food was very poor not very warm and little choice for a 3/4 star hotel. Bars Nice pool side bar with coffee and drinks. All inclusive pool food was hot dogs,chips,beefburgers which you needed to heat up. Not fresh so could stay in the display cabinets most of the day before cooking. A few curly sandwiches Main bar in reception was like an old style English pub with black wooden timbers and painted white walls. Depressing most nights when down to the local bars The free all inclusive few cocktail drinks were served from a vending machine not freshly made. Very little alcohol no real taste. Bar all inclusive drinks closes at 11 Nightly entertainment guitar singer , magic or lady dancer all that was missing was bingo. We have stayed in several jet2 3 and 4 star hotels but this one is definitely one we would not recommend . This is based rated as a 2 star hotel We have given our honest and personal review and opinion of the Chatur Playa Real Resort Hotel. Would we stay here again NO

Enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Ernesto on the entertainment team was amazing and made our time even more enjoyable!

Ernesto was amazing and tried to get us involved in everything he was also very funny made our experience brilliant room was cleaned everyday except from sunday would definitely recommend going here
