Beautiful place and fantastic experience

What an amazing experience! We went on the 6th of August and I was worried about it being rainy season but there was a small shower that lasted less than 5 minutes in the 10 days we were there. The place island is so clean and the staff are always smiling and happy to help.

The beauty of the island is that there's a surf spot on one side and a beach on the other. The overwater rooms are very nice and ensure privacy. The food is good, and even more so. The only downside is the use of jet skis on the beach side, which not only pollute the area, but also leave an unpleasant gasoline smell and are annoying. The activities are expensive, but I think that's the case in all the Maldives.

The perfect trip to Cinnamon

Cinnamon is famous for its crystal white beaches and clear and transparent sea water, and is known as "God's necklace on earth" and "the last paradise on earth in the Indian Ocean". The sea water is jelly-coloured, and you can take beautiful photos without a filter. Many islands have unique natural landscapes, such as trailing beaches and abundant marine life. Visitors can enjoy snorkelling here and observe sea fish, turtles and black-fin sharks up close. The service is very good. The people are very considerate and kind. The front desk helped us upgrade the room type. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, they brought drinks. The room service was also very thoughtful. The experience was very good!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks here and loved our beach bungalow. Ours was right on the beach as we wanted but a lot of them are set back in the trees so worth checking what you might want. Very friendly and efficient staff who make sure everything goes smoothly and solve any little problems. A very special thank you to our hostess Baghia and head waiter Nijaz who really looked after us and our housekeeper Abul who kept the bungalow spick and span. We agree with the other reviews who say bring your own snorkel and mask ($10 per day to hire!) as well as swim shoes and lots of sun screen. We were there during the monsoon and had a few heavy rain showers but they lasted less than 20 minutes and were a bit of light relief! Don't believe the weather apps that predict rain all the time, it's actually 90% sunshine. The food was plentiful, varied and a good standard and it's always worth trying the local dishes. Although the place was full, it did not feel at all crowded and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly even with lots of R****ans there!

We are still filled with joy as we look back on our unforgettable holiday at your beautiful resort – and we’re already dreaming of coming back as soon as possible! As passionate and experienced travelers, we can honestly say that this holiday was a dream come true from beginning to end – exactly what you would hope for from such a special place in the world like the Maldives. We’d especially like to highlight the incredibly warm and dedicated service provided by island host Ren. She went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt cared for – it truly felt like she could read our minds. Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a huge difference. The rooms and the entire resort were immaculate – beautifully maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed. We also really appreciated the freely available water dispensers across the island – a great and sustainable touch. One of the biggest (and most welcome) surprises was the effort the management made to arrange a room upgrade for us. The VIP area with its private bar, restaurant, and pool was stunning – and absolutely worth the extra cost! The dive center, led by dive instructor King, also left a lasting impression. Every single dive was a breathtaking, memorable experience. The excursions to the Fish Tank and shark snorkeling were truly spectacular and felt very personal. The entire team was always focused on safety and making sure guests had an amazing time. And if you’re into water sports – especially jet skiing or flyboarding – Bob will make sure you have the best possible experience. If we could offer one or two small suggestions for improvement: the fitness center could use some updates, and it would be great to enjoy drinks in reusable cups instead of disposable paper ones – especially considering the otherwise strong focus on sustainability throughout the resort. Thank you again, dear Ren and the entire Cinnamon Dhonveli team. We’re so grateful for this experience – and we can’t wait to see you all again soon!
