3rd time here and it gets better and better. As always everything is clean and tidy in the room. If anything isn't to your liking , you only have to say so, and it's put right immediately. Nothing is a problem. Food is really good ,as are all the staff in the restaurants. Rafa, osi, and Kim kept us well watered at the beach bar. Esta makes the best white russian in the sunset bar. Mr satar is always good for a laugh and works hard making flower garlands to hand out to everyone on holiday.Nasa on reception is so helpful,along with every member of staff on the island. Never felt so welcome anywhere else. Thankyou

This was a return visit to this lovely island and we were not disappointed. The review will be an honest one which hilights the many positives and the couple of things that could be done better The people of cinnamon dhonveli are what make this island so beautiful. Everyone we met was genuinely there to do what they could for us. We stayed in an Overwater suite which was beautiful and spacious. We stayed in 724 which was perfect for us to see the sunset. Lots of fish/sharks and a resident heron that slept on our balcony! The food in the Rehendi restaurant was divine, big shout out to the lovely lady who made my salad and fruit juices. She had the most infectious giggle which always brightened up the day for us! Also a big shout out to the two chefs on the cooking stations who made our food to order and remembered what my mum liked so that it was ready for her. So much food choice and so fresh. Waiters were great and couldn’t do enough for us, same for the bar staff down by the restaurant who quickly learned our favourite drinks and had them ready for us. My mom and I did a fishing trip which was brilliant and the team on the boat couldn’t do enough to make it special for my mum who ended up catching a 10kg emporer fish which was cooked for our tea the next day. We had two spa treatments which were also lovely and relaxing. Definitely recommended Negatives Paying for the snorkels and non motorised water sports which were really expensive. We have been to a number of islands recently and these were included in the price and we therefore did lots of water sports because of it. At cinnamon dhonveli we didn’t snorkel in the end because of this which was a shame. There were also no excursions included in the price as there had been on other islands we have visited (sunset cruise, evening fishing) While this is only a minor thing, when you are paying a premium for an all inclusive you expect things like the snorkels to be included in the price It was also very difficult to work out what drinks we could/couldn’t have on our package- if you’re on all inclusive at the water suites end, there should in my opinion, be only one list to choose from. Overall this is a lovely island but what makes it is the people that work there. They are just the most big hearted people you will meet ❤️

From the moment you arrive to the minute you leave, you are treated to an experience you will never forget. It’s all too easy to come out with superlatives which make you sound like you’re employed by the Resort’s marketing department, but this place is amazing. The food, beverages, staff, accommodation and beach are fantastic, sea life is colourful and abundant, and the feeling of relaxation is very real. I would recommend that you go out of school holiday time to enjoy this atoll in its most relaxed state. Speedboat ride from the airport is a real treat. I would highly recommend this resort.

Truly special stay in paradise

My sister and I spent a few days here after a trip to Sri Lanka and it was truly the perfect end to our 2 week trip. Only 25 mins from the airport by speedboat, we arrived and immediately were greeted and got onto the boat straight away. At check in, we received a welcome drink and cold towel, and an extensive explanation of the resort and how everything worked alongside a useful map. We were staying in one of the water bungalows - the room was really spacious and had everything we needed including flip flops and robes. The setting was so stunning and peaceful. We saw lots of sealife from our room including an octopus, a turtle, lots of beautiful fish, baby sharks and a grey heron that visited regularly. From our bungalow the water was quite shallow but we didn’t mind and we were still able to swim and snorkel, though we avoided it if it was too choppy. We were initially a bit apprehensive about the all inclusive, but the buffet at Dalchini was really great - from a pasta station, to a station that often had freshly cooked cuts of beef or fish, to a chilled salad room… we loved it and didn’t feel the need to go a la carte. The drinks in the all inclusive were everything we needed too - the wine was nice and most cocktails were included. We rented snorkeling equipment from the diving centre and regularly snorkeled right on the main beach and saw lots of sealife, however we also went on a turtle snorkeling excursion and saw 3 turtles which was very special. Note that it’s tricky to get sunbeds as people get up early and put towels down. We had a massage at the spa which was incredible - from the greeting with a cold towel and tea to the beautiful setting and the incredible therapists who were so considerate and we left feeling incredibly relaxed. Throughout our short stay, we were made to feel special by all the staff - a very special thank you to Raytan and Srimanti, who at the restaurant remembered us and our drinks order and were always super friendly and attentive. We really would not hesitate to come back.

We visited for 9 nights in feb ‘26 and had an amazing holiday of a lifetime. We booked an over water suite that was fantastic, our own private decking for sunbathing in the morning then after a tasty lunch we snorkelled in the afternoon followed by infinity pool with swim up bar afterwards. This place is paradise and the staff work incredibly hard to keep it that way. The food was fantastic and the restaurant staff couldn’t do enough for you. Wildlife everywhere you turn from birds, lizards, crabs, bats & amazing fish, rays & sharks. Take water shoes & your own snorkels and flippers as buying/renting can work out much more expensive. Take plenty of sun tan lotion as you burn very easily if you don’t top up regularly, also nearly 60 dollars a bottle to buy more in the only shop on the island! No this isn’t a typo!! Overall a beautiful place to visit, amazing staff and food that is out of this world.
