Complaint regarding service at CITY STAY PRIME HOTEL APARTMENT, Al Barsha, Dubai On October 2, 2025, my wife and I checked into CITY STAY PRIME HOTEL APARTMENT in Al Barsha, Dubai. I had booked a 1-bedroom apartment through Booking.com, but for reasons unknown to me, this room type was not available, and we were instead given a 2-bedroom apartment. From the very beginning, we were met with unprofessional and rude behavior from the receptionist. While I was taking off my backpack and placing my belongings down, she asked me something in English. As I do not speak English, I politely replied, “One moment, madam.” Despite this, she raised her voice and insisted on knowing my name. I told her my name twice, but since she could not pronounce it correctly, I handed her my ID. In response, she rudely gestured for me to sit down and spoke in a very disrespectful tone. I chose not to argue and sat down quietly, but the receptionist continued speaking aggressively and shouted for my wife to provide her ID. We handed it over calmly, yet the disrespectful behavior continued. The situation escalated when my wife’s sisters came to visit us shortly after we checked in. At that point, the receptionist completely lost control. One of the sisters speaks English, so we asked her to help us communicate with the manager. The receptionist was very resistant, continued being rude, and initially refused to connect us. Only after several requests did she call the manager and spoke at length in Filipino before finally handing over the phone. We spoke to a manager named Fatima, who gave us permission for our guests to come in. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. Over the next few hours, the hotel staff repeatedly called our room and sent security to stand at the door, ringing the bell nonstop. The phone also rang multiple times. In the end, just to be left in peace and enjoy a quiet family dinner, we were forced to book and pay for a second room. Even after the payment, the interruptions continued. Staff members came to our room twice more—first to return the change, and then to deliver the keys for the second room. This all took place late at night, from our check-in at 10:00 PM until nearly 3:00 AM. I am shocked and deeply disappointed by the way we were treated. I never expected such disrespectful behavior in Dubai—a city known worldwide for its hospitality and high standards. This experience has seriously damaged the reputation of this hotel and casts a negative light on the city itself.
