Upon arrival, our first impressions were positive — the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience with the accommodation itself was disappointing. The initial room provided was extremely basic. It featured a small wardrobe, half of which was unusable, and only three plastic hangers — hardly sufficient for two guests staying for nine days. Storage space was minimal, with only a couple of small drawers available. The beds were uncomfortably firm, each with a single hard pillow, and the balcony faced directly onto a blank wall, offering no view. After raising our concerns, the staff did move us to a slightly larger room with improved storage. While we appreciated their responsiveness, the room still lacked comfort and amenities one would expect. Although tea and coffee facilities were provided, there was no milk available in the room — we had to collect it from the dining area. The sound insulation was also poor. Conversations and bathroom use from adjoining rooms were clearly audible, and from around 8 a.m., cleaning staff could be heard calling out to one another and moving equipment noisily, which made it difficult to rest in the mornings. The bar offerings under the all-inclusive package were limited. The house wine was of very low quality and undrinkable, and cocktails were not included — they were available at a discounted rate instead. Even simple beverages such as iced coffee and rosé wine incurred additional charges. Upon opening the curtains one morning, the whole heavy pelmet fell down almost hitting me on the head. On investigation we discovered one side of it was not even attached to the wall, it was just resting on an air conditioning unit. On a more positive note, the food was varied and generally of good quality, though it was often served cold. The dining room boasts spectacular views, but these were somewhat diminished by the consistently dirty windows. Overall, while the staff were attentive and the location has potential, the hotel falls short in terms of room quality, comfort, and value for an all-inclusive stay. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. 2 star would be more appropriate. We were informed that the owners lease is due to expire this year and he is not prepared to spend any money on the hotel. It shows!
