Magical Stay at Coco Palm

Had a fantastic 10 day stay here , the boutique style hotel is well presented , clean and had all the amenities we required . We stayed in a garden patio room situated at the rear of the hotel which was nice and peaceful both day and night . The room could have a little decor touch up here and there but otherwise probably the best 3 star accommodation I’ve stayed in . The restaurant and bar had a good variety of dishes and drinks and the quality on offer was impressive. We enjoyed every meal we had , compliments to the chef ! The staff at Coco Palm were exceptional. Friendly and willing to help in which ever way they can . From the bar & waiting staff to the cleaners and reception I could not find fault . The bar and restaurant area is available for locals to use for Birthdays , anniversaries and such which for us heightened the atmosphere of the place and also met some wonderful characters. Location wise the hotel is situated well , beach is a ten minute walk and shops/restaurants are on the doorstep with a good variety of bars and restaurants. Once again not a bad meal was had ! Rodney Bay itself seems to be in a period of change . Yes they’re are some unsightly demolition works going on and some development but this did not detract from our pleasurable experience and certainly bears no reflection on the hotel . All in all our stay was near perfect , we never return to the same place when travelling but this will be the exception, we look forward to coming back next year and falling in love with St Lucia further 👌

The staff really made the trip extra special and were always smiling, joking around, and really enhancing the vibe! The drinks and food were incredible, and with the pool, it was hard to ever leave the resort! 10/10 recommendation, I can’t say enough good things about this establishment!

Celebration for 14 for 5 nights

We booked a year in advance to celebrate with our group of 14 people at Coco Palm Resort. Our expectations were exceeded. We have so many shout outs for staff. Claudine is the manager who set up everything for us and went above and beyond to make sure our stay went flawlessly. She is so kind and dedicated to every aspect of the resort and guest experience. Claudine introduced us to Garfield who checked in with us and took care to make sure we had what we needed. Bryan on the bar made each day so much more fun. His personality shines and he knows his stuff. We noticed him coaching newer staff and he took our numerous orders without issue. Miguel and Hazel did a great job as well on the bar and were fun to interact with during our stay. Jan and Vanessa were our two main servers in the restaurant and took great care of us each time they saw us arrive no matter where we were. Nigel, the chef, was amazing. We have a celiac among us and he came to speak to her personally many times to ensure that her food was what she wanted and he was happy to offer options. When my younger brother liked the hot sauce, he went out and bought one for him in case he didn’t have the time. Seriously, above and beyond. Tafoya and everyone else at the front desk were fantastic. Francisca was the one who cleaned our room and greeted us warmly any time we saw her. She did a great job and was accommodating. There are many more names in our 5 night stay and we had an amazing time. Everyone in our party commented that it was the perfect choice for our celebration. We always had somewhere to sit together and had excellent service. We celebrated my 30th birthday on our last night and Claudine set up a surprise traditional cake for us which tasted amazing and made the night all the more special. We loved our stay and would come back again in a heartbeat.

Friendly hotel in a beautiful place!

Coco Palm hotel is a small hotel situated in Rodney Bay, a pleasant little area on the north west side of St Lucia. The journey from the airport took us about an hour and a half, along windy and often bumpy roads. We had booked a garden view suite on the fourth (top) floor, which was really spacious. The room was well equipped with 2 bathrooms, 2 air conditioning units (very much needed) and a cooling ceiling fan. The view from the living area was beautiful as we could see over to the mountains. The lower down garden view rooms didn’t quite have the same view so I would avoid booking one of those, although being in one of those rooms meant it was quieter at night. The outdoor restaurant and bar area were lovely; plenty of seating (mostly - breakfast time could be busy after 9am), excellent service and the food was delicious. We didn’t have a bad meal there at all during our stay. My husband and I had booked a package through BA which included breakfast, lunch and all drinks. The staff at Coco Palm were very friendly and helpful. During our stay, there was a problem with the pool, which meant it was out of action for 3 days. The management did apologise about this but weren’t very forthcoming about finding a solution to the lack of access. Another couple we spoke to informed us that they’d been told the hotel would give money to guests to pay for a sun bed on the beach. Had we not been told this by the other guests, we wouldn’t have known. The hotel itself seemed to be well looked after, but after a few days the constant playing of loud Soca music in the bar and restaurant area became very wearing, especially at breakfast (just not necessary). During our stay we enjoyed several trips out; the boat trip to Soufriere, with a visit to the Toraille waterfall, sulphur springs and lunch included was very enjoyable (tip:take a hat or scarf as very little shade on board the boat). We also had a great time at the Friday night Jump Up at nearby Gros Islet - food and drink very cheap! The hotel booked us a taxi there and back. We also went to the Jazz festival at nearby Pigeon Island - great music, food, drinks and atmosphere. Rodney Bay is a fairly lively place, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We would highly recommend Spinnakers on the beach next to Bay Gardens hotel. All in all, we had a lovely stay at Coco Palm hotel, and would recommend if you’re after a holiday that involves plenty of sitting around, and the occasional trip out. PS - be aware of locals trying to sell you things - a polite, no thank you, usually worked.
