Coral Sands Beach Resort

Very nice hotel right on the beach at Worthing. Spacious room with balcony and great sea view. Two beach bars in a couple of minutes walk. Nice pool area but the towels on the sun beds at 6.00 am was very annoying. People would then often disappear for hours on end when others could use the sun beds. Typically guests would “reserve” the same beds every day. This was never policed by the staff. That really was the only negative. The two male receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful the lady receptionist not so much. All in all a very good and comfortable stay. Would recommend.

Let's start by the positive points: rooms have a stunning view on the sea and they are truly large for this category of hotel. To be noted that there is a fully equipped kitchen in the room. For the rest, for somebody like me who has spent at least 100 nights every year in hotels for tens of years, it is obvious this one lacks professional management. As a matter of fact even if you stay a number of days you will never ever see a member of management and the hotel is not very big. First at the reception the various employees are as welcoming as a clerk at the internal revenue service! this being said one stunning exception, a gentleman on duty in the evening, Kenneth, always smiling, knowledgeable about his island and willing to help but that's truly the one exception. To be honest everything is in working condition in the rooms, but also everything is old and would really need some renovation particularly the shower. The Aircon works perfectly but the temperature shows in white illuminated figures bright enough to read at night. Breakfast is at the same time very expensive and very mediocre. I stupidly bought the prepaid plan but I would not advise anybody to do so, nor to take it a la carte, mediocre and madly priced. Everything here has to be by the rule. Do not expect any flexibility in anything. On the day of my arrival I got to the hotel around 10 am and so many clients checking out when I was checking in. Even if I was at during the morning the only client checking in I was not given a key before 3 pm as it is the rule. Checking out is an early 11 am. Not having asked for a single favour during my stay I asked the checkout to be extended by one hour which was bluntly refused as not according to the rule and even if during all my stay I never saw the maids cleaning my room before 2 pm! This place would be fantastic with a little renovation and specially professional management

Got recommended this place for breakfast by a local sunbed rental guy, Richard. We weren’t residents of the hotel but we were taken the 100 m or so from our beach beds to the hotel entrance and shown to the cute breakfast room. Plenty of choices at reasonable prices. Served by a lovely lady. I think was called Nicki? Highly recommended.

We have stayed at the Coral Sands for MANY years, and have generally been very pleased with the rooms, location, service, etc. But I have to say that the public areas of the hotel have suffered in recent years. During COVID a hideous barbed wire fence was installed overlooking the sea, giving a feeing of a concentration camp. Then the whole area was denuded of its beautiful palm trees, making it even uglier. No other nearby resort is treeless. Anyone staying by the pool will be turned off by this. Then a huge plexiglass screen was placed at the reception desk, reminding me of a pawn shop. Someone is making very bad decisions, and I worry that the deterioration will continue.

What a truly wonderful place Another place I want to keep secret because we want it all to ourselves...this little hidden gem It is a beautiful old ,plantation building with character and charm, better for the quiet holiday break, families and couples, singles, all will find peace tranquility and wonderful service here. The view from you balcony is the Atlantic which is 20 yards from the hotel. Pool, poolbar and a feeling of serenity and security was amazing The staff are welcoming informative and really want you to have a great time. There is a restaurant for breakfast lunch and snacks by the pool You can go self catering here there are shops around to get groceries The rooms have a great feel, spacious, well stocked, and clean beyond belief The maids, and cleaning staff do such a great job, subtle, and helping they work so hard and greet you with good morning and interest in you. Towels and bedding changed regularly Kettle Microwave utensils, glasses, cups mugs, (bring washing up liquid) Tv Wifi I had no complaints You can swim with the turtles on the beach eat in the two/three bar resturants along the beach. Located 10 minute walk from St Lawrence Bay, not far from all th e sites Oistins, Boatyard,Bridgetown, St Lawrence Gap (restaurants and bars) its a great base for your holiday. Cannot thank the reception staff and bar restaurant cleaning staff we had a great time, and wanted for nothing as everything was provided...especially your welcoming smiles.
