If you want to be close to all the cultural spots of Nassau, this is a great base. It’s so centrally located for downtown — and if you like walking you’ll definitely get your steps in. Once you return after a day of exploring, it’s nice, quiet and cordial — but nothing real special. It’s an old building. Looks like it dates back to way before there was even a Marriott. But it was pretty clean. The room was pretty clean and had everything you expect in a budget hotel. Nice out shower, too. Comfortable bed. Despite the price, this is budget not luxury. I definitely over paid. The amenities are meager. There’s a decent gym. One of the two pools was functioning — if small. And it was okay to sit and watch the kids splash. There is a restaurant somewhere here you order at the bar and take a seat. But every time I wanted food, it was closed. There are taxis on property. Just negotiate before you get in. And there are little food kiosks across the street if you are hungry. Nice and safe even though the prices are Nassau high. Kind of a vibe. Don’t hesitate to go over and enjoy. The Fish Fry is just a short walk away. The food there is amazing but pricey. The experience at the hotel was fine except the check-in was like getting a root canal. I would not return.
