If you’re staying at the Marriott, do yourself a favor and find Jumico Maura at the bar — hands down the BEST bartender! From the moment we walked up, Jumico Maura made us feel very welcome . His energy is unmatched — warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes every single time. No matter how busy the bar got, he made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks were always on point, service was quick, and the experience? Top tier. What really stood out is how consistent he is. Every time we came back, it was the same amazing service, the same positive attitude, and the same genuine care. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows. It’s also clear that other guests feel the same way — everyone around the bar gravitated toward him because he brings such great energy. Jumico Maura didn’t just serve drinks — he created an experience. He made our time at the hotel even more memorable, and honestly, he’s a big reason we’ll be coming back. Marriott, you’ve got a real one behind that bar. Julio is truly one of a kind! Highly recommend! Jumico Maura 100/100 !!!

We stayed at the courtyard Marriott Junkanoo beach and had a great experience. The check in staff were very friendly and efficient. The lobby area is nicely renovated and clean. The rooms are modern, pretty spacious and comfy. We stayed 4 ladies to the room and there was plenty of space. The manager Clyde was very nice as well. The location is great for getting around Nassau - I would stay here again!

Ideal location and friendly staff

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The property is extremely dated and poorly maintained. The walls were visibly dirty, and the paint was peeling in several areas. In the bathroom, there was rust present and even brown drainage stains running down the wall from the pipes, which was very concerning. The supposedly newer wood-look tile floors were also dirty and did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The lighting fixtures had brown residue around them, and there were scratches and marks throughout the room. The furniture looked old, dark, and worn out. To make matters worse, the bedding was not clean. The pillowcases had obvious stains, and even the pillows themselves appeared to have stains on them. This made the room feel unsanitary and very uncomfortable to sleep in. What was most frustrating is that the photos on the hotel’s website make the property look much newer and nicer than it actually is. Many of those photos appear outdated and do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. The only pleasant thing about this hotel was the staff. The front desk staff was kind and welcoming, and just had a really beautiful smile. Unfortunately, the room didn’t meet the same standards as the staff . The room felt dirty and poorly maintained. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.
