De Malee Pool Villa

We had booked the grand deluxe 2 bed villa for 2 nights in krabi and upon arrival we immediately decided we wanted to stay for longer. The staff are really what make the experience that much more elevated, they are so kind, full of smiles and incredibly friendly, especially dawud and the lovely young girl at reception who’s name I unfortunately didn’t get. The breakfast is great, unfortunately not halal which was surprising since krabi is a very halal friendly region, full of Muslims and the resort also had quite a few Muslim guests so this could be something to improve on. Regardless, the vegetarian and pescatarian options were still great and the kitchen/restaurant staff were lovely and nothing was too much for them to accommodate. The hotel provided a shuttle service to the main beach area which was very handy and a great bonus, they even took me to the supermarket and an atm when I needed it even though this isnt a service they offer. Our initial room was beautiful, modern and clean. The vibe was luxurious and the pool was a great size and nice and clean. Although a few fixtures are in need of updating such as the bath tap which was broken and a little limescaled and rusted but overall we loved our 3 night stay in the grand deluxe 2 bed villa. When we decided to extend the stay unfortunately this room had already been booked for the next few nights so we were assigned a smaller 2 bed villa. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience in this one as much, it felt very outdated and in need of updating. The fixtures were old and it had a damp, sewage type of smell coming from the water I believe? The lighting wasn’t great and it felt rather depressing but since we only had 2 nights remaining we didn’t bother bringing any of this up. I think if the bathroom fixtures, tiles, lighting and furnishings were updated this would still be a lovely room. Overall I would definitely return, I hope to bring more friends and family in the future and I will be recommending this villa to my friends. It was great experience, the hotel its well maintained and the stuff are very helpful and nice. The floating breakfast was a nice experience, they also provide free shuttle transport service to the night market and the beach, We really enjoyed our stay, definitely we will come back to this place

We stayed here for 5 nights recently and had a great stay. We loved our room. It was lovely to have our pool and be able to relax after a busy couple of weeks travelling. The hotel had put a lovely birthday display on the bed for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch. The room had everything we needed and more! The staff are so friendly and really helpful. It was lovely to get a cold towel, drink and flower bracelet when we checked in and cupcakes when we checked out The shuttle to the beach was so handy and on hand a lot, taxis only cost around £2 if you miss the shuttle. The only issues we had were the breakfast. We didn’t find it very tasty so decided to eat out instead. We forgot to tell the staff one day that we didn’t want breakfast and received a phone call at 10:45pm asking what we wanted for breakfast we told them we did not want breakfast tomorrow. At 11:15pm someone rang our doorbell asking what we wanted for breakfast. We didn’t appreciate this as we were in bed at this time. I do wish there had been a bar, would have been nice to have somewhere to sit outside for a drink.
