Resort and activities excellent. Food in main restaurant TERRIBLE!!!

We have been at Delphin Be Grand for 6 days (4 to go) and overall have had a really enjoyable holiday. The resort itself is fantastic, especially for families. The activities throughout the day were brilliant, the entertainment team worked hard, and the water park was genuinely one of the best we have experienced at an all-inclusive hotel. The pools, grounds and overall atmosphere around the resort were excellent. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment by far was the food in the main buffet restaurant. Quite honestly, it was some of the worst buffet food we have experienced in any hotel ever!! The quality was very poor, the food was almost always cold or at best just warm, and the selection became repetitive very quickly. I am trying to be fair as I appreciate serving 2500 guests food must be a very difficult operation, however I have been to many hotels in Turkey and beyond and this was by far the worst. A good example is that most evenings seemed to consist of chicken stew, beef stew and lamb stew, all of which looked and tasted almost identical. There was very little variety, very little flavour, and nothing really felt freshly prepared. For a hotel of this standard and price point, the buffet restaurant was a huge let down. There are many à la carte restaurants to choose from however you cannot book on the app (although it indicates that you can) and there are 30 minute queues every morning near reception if you want to attempt to make a booking. If the food quality in the main restaurant improved, this hotel would easily be one of the best family resorts in the area because everything else about the resort is genuinely excellent.

Crowded and loud no ala cart availabiliy

Too crowded, loud, average food, nice pools Rooms not insulated do can hear neighbours, v loud entertainment from hotel and neighbouring hotels. If you stay in A block the delivery truck wake you nice and early You have to Que from 9am to book à la carte (app doesn’t work) - we never git a restorative wanted ate in buffet every night which was v repetitive ( no wine choice just house) Pools are nice but getting a subbed after 10 is impossible so get up early! The cram you in like sardines The smoking was a problem - people smoking next to us at dinner and around the pool made me decide not to revisit

Having a fabulous holiday - daily yoga a particular highlight. A proper yoga teacher in a lovely shaded outdoor studio. Love the essential oils. Yoga fly great fun too.

I'll bullet point certain things here for ease of use for anyone that's thinking about staying! Accommodation/Room- Brilliant, 10 out of 10 bed really comfortable, hygienic everywhere, room cleaned daily, room fridge topped up with drinks and snacks daily, absolutely no complaints, staff also all lovely with a "Merhaba" every morning. Pool areas- 9 out of 10, skating wait staff couldn't do enough for you, neither could the ice cream man or the soft drinks man, never more than a couple of minutes before someone was swinging by, service was top notch. However, reason for a 9 is I'm a smoker and I don't expect to be smoking round children and a pool as it's not fair, no designated area and you had to retreat into the trees to back away from everyone which was a little bit hilly and wonky, some of us want to be respectful! Please accommodate us with a smoking area! Food- A la carte booking needs sorting out, noone needs to log on to the app at 12.01 if they want an early night nor queue at 8am for a machine if they want to book one! Make it clear when slots will be available and accessible to all. We got into 4, they were all AMAZING food wise but please educate Ahmet M in the a la cartes that if an adult asks for a child's plate being a picky eater if they won't eat the food in that particular restaurant they do not need to be then asked if "the baby wants ketchup", when the main gent sorting out the restaurant the previous night simply went "no problem" and his customer service was exemplary. I must say the following night Ahmet M was better in the mexican, remembered our drinks and was most helpful and politely asked what was needed, maybe realised his mistake thinking he was being funny, we are only human but just flagging it up! Main restaurant, food again was lovely but nothing is in an order, you'd expect pizza/pasta/Italian to be in one part, and things that go together in other parts, noone needs to be scaling a restaurant that size finding part of a meal, then searching for the other part, and by the time you get to your table everything is cold, desserts also need better labelling, saw 4 different cakes one night labelled as "cake". Snack huts and beach buffet do exactly what they say on the tin and the food is lovely. Entertainment- no complaints at all, didn't put a foot wrong, lots of choice with or without children and there's always something going on if you want to do it, staff always engaging with people and trying to get them involved. I can't speak for children's activities on this one. Bars- all staff I've found brilliant, from the front bar to the specialty cocktail bar to beach, anywhere, so helpful, can't do enough for you even if it does mean force feeding you snacks with drinks. Rara in the outside lobby bar is brilliant, couldn't find her before we left but her customer service was amazing, I hope you'll recognize that if you have a reward scheme. We found Saran before we left who was serving us near the relax pool who was amazing. I've already recommended this hotel to people with children as there's so much for them to do, and also us adults, I'd come back tomorrow if I could. Keep the good work up!

A Class resort!!

This place was brilliant one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We went as a family 6 adults and a 3 year old the food was lovely the hotel is very clean and tidy they had a fun fair for kids a splash park and a water park for the older kids and adults a lazy river what my little boy loved. And so many pools some heated some not. Arcades,bowling alley and little electric cars which you pay for but not too bad in price. There is so much food choice they have little stands through out the hotel. Serving toasties,burgers,kebabs,jacket potatoes,Fresh fruit,coffee and ice creams. The buffet restaurant was top class again probably one of the best. They have bars everywhere to we loved the pier bar and beach bar they were great at night. The staff are really friendly and the shows are some of the best I’ve seen at an all inclusive resort. Candy land on Thursday afternoon was brilliant. I will definitely recommend and return to this hotel. We visited the Land of legends theme park/ waterpark that was a great day as well definitely worth a visit.
