Delphin Deluxe Resort

Had a brilliant week stay at Delphin Deluxe. Great entertainment for both kids and adults. Amazing choice of food all day long. Resort is spotlessly clean and a brilliant set up for the kids with regards to slides/pools etc.

Having spent a week at Delphin Deluxe in Apr 2025 (repeat visit after first time in Apr 2023), we didn’t think we would be back so soon 6 months later in Oct 2025. Given how amazing this hotel is, we couldn’t resist and booked for Oct 2025. Here is why we love this resort, and we will keep on visiting for years to come: Staff – the most valuable asset of this hotel is the staff, no matter which department it is. Let me start with my favourite team – Guest Relations. It is a very friendly and warm team led by Svetlana, and consists of Alex, Emir, Mustafa, Aleyssia and Kader. We have visited Botanik Platinum next door and the guest relations team there is no match for the team at Deluxe. Many thanks to Svetlana and her team for making our stay pleasant From the first time we visited this hotel, our favourite member of staff has been Emir, and I may be biased because he has the best command of English at the hotel. Having said that, Emir has a very calm persona and puts you at ease from the moment you meet him. No issue is too small or big for him to sort out. He is always in high demand as lots of the repeat guests know him well and love to deal with him. The entire management team is very friendly and approachable. I loved speaking to Mr Osman Gonul, the Hotel manager, and he made a real effort to speak to us in English. The reception staff are also exceptionally helpful – the daytime team led by Selcuk, the night team led by Murat and Kemal. The front desk manager is Mr Oguz Atalan, another friendly face. Cleanliness – this hotel’s cleanliness is second to none. All the communal toilet facilities are cleaned every 30 minutes and are spotless and hygienic. The restaurants have cleaning staff at hand to clean up any spillages as soon as they happen. Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Mini bar gets stocked up daily. If there are any issues with the room (AC, water etc), as soon as you report it, the technical team is there within 15 minutes to investigate the matter. All the restaurant staff are very helpful and recognised us as repeat visitors, which is very important in the following context: This hotel is very popular with Germans (which is helpful as the service is maintained at their expected highest level). Whilst we were there, we were invited to a cocktail reception for repeat guests and an award ceremony revealed that at that time, there were some German families (and a Polish couple) that have visited hotels within the Delphin Group for more than 40 times, the record during being a couple that was having its 74th visit. A couple who had their 57th visit told me that Delphin Deluxe is the best one that they have experienced in the group (even though the others may be bigger and newer) and that they had already booked for Apr 2026 and Oct 2026. They just could not get enough of this hotel. This is proof at how great this place is and even though it was only our 3rd visit, we were treated as part of the Delphin family with most staff recognising us. Transfer – Granted that the hotel is in Alanya and not Antalya so it can be between 1.5 to 3 hours transfer from the airport to Delphin Deluxe, but it is worth it. I would recommend taking a private transfer (cost varies between Eur 60-Eur 75) for a 4/5 seater. These are luxuriously done up VIP cars with Wi Fi, TV, water and these would take 90mins compared to the 3 hour coach transfer that stops at other hotels along the way. Food and snacks – Abundance of food and snacks and great variety of food at the buffets and the a la carte restaurants (these need to be booked with guest relations either a day early or on the morning of the visit. Ice cream is served almost throughout the day and there are bars (drinks) and snack bars dotted around the whole hotel. Bottled water is available throughout the hotel in abundant supply. Don’t miss out on the waffles from 3.30pm-5.30p.m at the snack bar behind the water slides. Drinks around the pool are served by waiters on roller blades and they constantly keep your glasses topped up. Animation – Michael who leads this team is a great laugh and runs a brilliant animation programme of entertainment for both kids and adults. Water slides – the hotel has a set of 8 water slides which are great fun. Open from 10.00a.m to 12.00noon and then again from 1.00p.m. to 6.00p.m. Fitness classes – plenty of fitness classes (yoga, Zumba, step, water aerobics) and a well-equipped gym which is manned. Swimming pools – one of the few hotels with both indoor and outdoor heated pools, which are a real asset as the weather in April is a bit cooler (season starts 1 April) and so if you can’t brave a cold pool, these heated pools are your hangout. Tennis court – there is a very well-maintained tennis court right next to the water slides. The hotel lends raquets and tennis balls and you need to book the courts one day in advance. The tennis court is used for tennis for most of the day but between the hours of 4.00p.m to 6.00pm, the animation team use it for football. We had a great time in April but now that we have been in October, we prefer October due to the warmer weather and being end of season (Deluxe shuts on 1 Nov and reopens 1 Apr) you pick up great bargains at the famous Alara Grand Bazaar (less than a mile away and a pleasant straightforward 15 min walk) or at the hotel’s own shops which are run by brothers Ali and Mustafa. Tips for staff – one piece of advice in relation to tips: Whilst Germans tip in Euro coins, the Russians tip in $1 bills and the Brits tip in £ coins, a Turkish bank will not exchange any of these for Turkish Lira, which is what the bell boys and waiting staff require for their day to day living. I carried a stack of £5 notes with me, which I then offered to exchange for their Euro/GBP coins and $1 bills, at the prevailing exchange rate. The bell boys were so relieved and appreciative as they can now exchange the £5 notes for Turkish Lira, for their sustenance over the winter months when the resort is shut. If you are a frequent traveller, then I am most can use up the Euro/GBP/USD collected here. Shopping – for the usual ‘good copies’ of t-shirts, sports/football tops, shoes, handbags designer underwear, do visit the Alara Grand Bazaar mentioned above. There are 2 shops that I would recommend based on our visits. For shoes and handbags, there is stall called Veysel Bags Store. For sports/football tops, track suits, tshirts, there is a shop on the corner of the cross road at Block 5, run by a chap called Adam. Both Veysel Alstoy and Adam are very pleasant to deal with. If you go in late October, then try the hotel shops as they do knock down prices heavily since the hotel shuts on 1 Nov.

Our first stay at the Delphin Deluxe hotel. 2 families travelling together: 4 adults & 6 children (aged between 12 - 17). The hotel facilities itself are brilliant. I can not fault the rooms, cleanliness, lobby areas, pool and grounds. They are all kept immaculate. The food in the a la carte restaurants was good, but we were rushed through everytime and the waiters were seemingly impatient. The Tepanyaki grill was the exception - this was brilliant. We had some teens not to sure on what they were going to be served and the chef was fantastic with them. This meal was the best one we had! Definitely book this restaurant! The main buffet had everything you could want and more. The roller skate team by the pool were fantastic! Really friendly and helpful. group of lads. The government station was amazing. A special mention to the lovley lady on the towel stand - she was so kind and helpful. A special lady indeed. The gala night is definitely worth doing. The post dinner show was amazing. The downside for us was some of the staff. My daughter (12 yrs old) developed an ear infection and ended up on antibiotics whilst there and couldn't get her ear wet. All of the pools were full and busy and noisy. She joined me one day by the adult pool where it was quiet. Yes she dipped in the pool with me so she could cool down (it was over 40 degrees). No splashing, no swimming, just cooling off. The lifeguard was rude, the "guest experience manager" came over and when I explained the situation, he told me to leave the pool or find another hotel. I must add that the relax pool was empty. There were plenty of occasions we saw other kids jumping into the adult pool who were not moved on! Barely anyone was sat around it or in it! The "manager" was so rude and totally ruined our stay. The bar man in the lobby clearly didn't like the British and would often stop serving us to serve others mid way through, we tried tipping and making nice conversation but he too was rude. Every hotel we stay in is international but I've never come across one that seems to dislike British people as much as the Delphin did. As I previously said the hotel itself is brilliant but a massive let down by some of the their key staff ruined it for us. Would we go back? No.
