This place has a lot of steps, which we knew already, so it's not a place for anyone in a wheelchair or someone challenged in walking up and down stairs. We went their on an all-inclusive package of food and drinks. So, each restaurant had a limited menu for these packages. The Japanese selection was poor, the Thai selection was average, while the selection in the Ocean View restaurant was OK. It offered a variety of Western and Thai dishes. We ended up eating there nearly all the time. The only problem that we and everyone we met came down with a gastric illness for 24-48 hours. It was very common and we could only put it down to the hygiene in that restaurant. Example. We witnessed the staff wiping down tables and place mats with the same dirty cloth, then placing cutlery on the mats, without washing their hands. It had to spread germs around. I know that people can become ill when travelling, but this was in epidemic proportions. I mean everyone we met, and the people they met were sick. I know some of us complained to management so it would be interesting to read reviews if things improved. I don't blame the staff, but management of the complex and cleaning processors must be questionable. The package offered a choice of the nighly buffet or the a la cart menu at the Ocean View restaurant. To be honest, the buffet was rubbish. I certainly would not pay 900 baht for it. The a la cart menu was a much better option. The staff were excellent. friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the bathrooms could do with an update, but generally, they were OK. I would rate this resort 3.5 stars at best, but we won't be back to this resort. I hope you find this helpful.

Nice simple resort with a decent location . Nice views , great pool . Amazing villas . All they need to work on is there breakfast menue and the Servcie at breakfast restaurant. Staff is little funny . You ask them for a Cofee and instant reply , go and get it yourself which is in contrast with Servcie and attitude of most of other staff at the property. And mind you don’t take there laundry bag . You will be charge 200 bht for that . Ironically but it is what it is .

Diamond Cliff Resort and spa is a peaceful family-friendly resort conveniently located near the gorgeous Phuket beaches Diamond Cliff resort goes above and beyond to exceed guest expectations. From the moment we arrived, , courteous and attentive staff ensured that every interaction with us was marked by warmth and attentiveness. The staff are truly amazing, Wannee and her front office staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Freeze, the absolutely wonderful customer service agent, who went above and beyond the normal duties of such a role. The dining room staff, in particular Jamas, Chue Kay Khaing and Wilaiwau, absolutely the top of their game to ensure a wonderful dining experience. This resort is stunning, the room we had was exceptional. The location is fantastic if you want great shopping, beaches and a myriad of activities. The staff, the amenities, the food and the serene environment make this an outstanding place to stay. I couldn't rate it highly enough, just loved this place so much. I would definitely highly recommend Diamond Cliff resort.

Somewhere not to go on your next holiday

I can honestly say without a doubt as a seasoned traveller, this has been the most stressful and unpleasant trip I have ever experienced. From the disorganised and very unprofessional check in to the lack of house keeping to the very unlimited food and drink in our upgraded package. Location is definitely not desirable being away from everything. The rooms are ok, are room was changed in our hour check in, as the bed configuration was incorrect. We were then given a room overlooking the main road. Its noisy all day till about 2am and then starts all again, The location on a cliff sounds lovely but quite problematic for many especially for older patrons - the only way is by stairs which was quite tricky and hazardous in the wet weather. The dining/bars has zero atmosphere at night and is eerie quiet after 7 pm. Most nights we were the only ones in the dining room and instead took our meals to our room. Staff upstairs seem quite disinterested probably from lack of patrons. We did have 2 good days then gastro hit, from what the doctors told us a lot of ppl at the resort were hit with it too. It was unfortunate but again the staff were unhelpful - no dining options of something plain whilst recovering and numerous calls to housekeeping for basic essentials went unanswered. Four days in our rooms where we had to cancel our tours pay for a doctor and manage on our own. I do thank the doctor immensely for arriving so promptly but I can 100% say I would never ever return to this resort. I do thank

Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is located on the hillside of North Patong. Only few minutes away from the Patong downtown where you can enjoy night life and shopping. We have a plenty of great choice of restaurants and bars within the hotel grounds, really impressive and well designed pool areas over looking the sparkling blue sea of Andaman. All rooms type are fabulous including our Pool Villas, all well appointed and furnished in gorgeous typically Modern-Thai furnishings.
