Diana Palace Hotel Zakynthos

Spotlessly clean hotel situated amongst shops and bars but sadly not for beach lovers, the sea is a short walk and we enjoyed daily swims but no beach . We had a deluxe room in what I assume is the new block and it was very nice with a new modern feel, there's a fab TV but only offers BBC news, there's also a kettle and tea and coffee . Our room 215 was just above where the maintenance man brought various items for repair like broken chairs and outside our room is a diesel generator the size of a large minibus that kicks in if there's a power failure and it did at 7.30 am just once and our block vibrated with the incredible noise . The air con may be chargeable for some please check. Tourist tax is payable. The food is nice with ample choice but it's a buffet system and once brought out from the kitchen it will cool rapidly, if you want hot food dine as as soon as the restaurant opens, the restaurant is fastidiously clean with white table cloths and attentive staff keeping everybody happy. The pool is lovely the entertainment is debatable lol and the alcoholic drinks are just awful and lacking , cocktails after 6pm ( greek time ) are chargeable but to be honest I wouldn't bother. Not a deal for kids to do and teens would probably give up the will to live if they didn't bury their faces in their phones 24/7 , they probably won't even know they've gone on holiday anyway

Location perfect in the middle of good shops, restaurants and bars. Near the beach. Lovely resort. Relaxed vibe Sunbeds fine in may, pool lovely. Smaller pool had more children in. Same depth - 1 m 40cm, good for adult swimmers with limited ability.Clean and smart area. Good size rooms with easy access, clean and tidy with friendly, hard working staff throughout. Quiet after 11pm. Entertainment throughout the day good, less so on the evening but some new staff who were enthusiastic and learning. I would expect this to improve. Good choice of fresh food with much salad, cheese and meat. Good for gluten free. Some pizza, chips, fish fingers but not so good for kids. Spacious airy room. Snacks nice. Bar good. Good value for money, good quality hotel. Happy and would stay hrre again.

Just returned from a great 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Statis (apologies if I’ve misspelt your name) on the bar, Costas in the restaurant (thank you for showing us how to make traditional Greek coffee) and Leo on reception. The location of the hotel is wonderful, food and drink varied and delicious and hotel was immaculately clean. Thank you for a super stay. Clare & Scarlett.

Great little hotel. Not too big and only 15 mins from the airport. We stayed 4 nights which was perfect. The staff are excellent and super accommodating; they were well prepared for later arrivals with some food in the fridge in the room for us. Overall the food in the buffet restaurant was fresh, varied and restocked regularly. 2 pools, both spotless one aimed more for kids but it was half term so both were fairly kid-focussed Entertainment was limited but well intentioned. Bar service was fine but they could’ve done with another pair of hands (or left the self serve beer/wine taps in the restaurant open all evening). The wine was pretty sketchy but the beer (Minoan Era) and domestic spirits were fine. They were also happy to knock up mocktails for the kids too. The town itself is your standard tourist resort. Lots of souvenirs, tour operators and restaurants. There’s a nice little beach about 5 mins away which we went to regularly too. All in all - thoroughly good stay and pretty good value considering it was a reasonably late half-term booking.

We booked this fantastic hotel with our lovely travel agent Nadia. She offered us a great service booking our plane seats there and back, special assistance and private transfer there and back. The hotel was lovely, clean and well run. The hotel staff where very friendly helpful and approachable. No wonder families go back there year after year. The restaurant, the variety of foods, themed nights plus snacks and all inclusive drinks where good but no ice cream included in the all inclusive package. Entertainment and activities were great something to do in the morning, afternoon and evening for all the family. The pool was lovely there was even a separate pool and poolside bar for families with small children. Some of the rooms had their own swim up pools. The hotel had a gym and spa. Plus a great separate restaurant which had been theirs in the past but is now run by someone else but offering 20% discount off food bills to those staying at the hotel. Everything was local lots of tourist shops and other local restaurants and bars. The beach was shingle. We wanted a great hotel, short transfer time from the airport to the hotel, good food and pool days to relax, we got exactly that. I had read great reviews about the hotel before booking and watched YouTube videos of the hotel and Argassi resort. Wonderful time has by all 3 of us, we will come back to Diana Palace Hotel Argassi Zante. Thank you Nadia for arranging everything and giving us such a great price too.
