Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites

The hotel is nice and clean with beautiful views! The biggest minus was that in the mornings you could hear everything what’s happening outside.. The stuff is very nice and friendly! Special thanks to Adina from the main bar!!! She made our stay even better!;)

We have visited this hotel several times now and every time it is just as good as the last. Pros: Everywhere is spotlessly clean and housekeeping come daily to change bedding, towels and clean the bathroom. Food is lovely and there is always lots of choice with there being 2 different restaurants to eat at for breakfast lunch and dinner! The Italian was also very enjoyable although you may leave feeling hungry still The views are spectacular but if you fancy a change of scenery there is the local bus at €2pp that takes you in to kos town. The bus stop is right outside the front of the hotel. There is a small shop on site if you don’t want to venture out. Staff are very attentive and will go above and beyond to meet your needs! The evening entertainment was enjoyable although seats to watch this can sometimes be limited. A bonus of table service drinks in this area in the evening! Can’t comment on day time activity programme as did not participate. Cons: Although fine for our party, there are ALOT of steps to get to and from wherever you need to go! At the time we visited unfortunately there were a few groups who let’s say liked to be the centre of attention and only had one volume level no matter the time of day/night. Our room was located in the main hotel area above reception and we were woken up several nights at 1/2am from shouting and singing which we hoped security/reception would monitor however didn’t. For 2 days during our stay there was a drone filming shots of a new villa area behind the beach. It appeared management were showing “guests” around the villa area . The drone was getting very close above the sun beds which felt intrusive knowing a camera was hovering above you. Tips for your stay: If you are going on the beach, TAKE BEACH SHOES! The sea is gorgeous but getting in and out without beach shoes would be difficult (with beach shoes it’s no problem). The wind on the beach can sometimes pick up (it’s a warm welcome in the blazing sun) so be sure to secure towels and belongings if you are leaving them because they could be 100m down the beach on your return! If your mobility is poor/you can’t manage steps easily this hotel probably isn’t for you Overall our 2 week holiday was wonderful and I would certainly go back or recommend! Thank you to all the staff throughout the hotel and a special mention to Ilias (beach/pool bar) who was very friendly and Laurence (pool restaurant at breakfast) who had a smile on his face constantly and was the kindest soul.

We returned from a weeks stay at this hotel a week ago. We were 6 ladies in our 60's. When we first checked in we realised we were nowhere near each other. We had the best room. A junior suite overlooking the pool near the Greek restaurant. Our friends had been placed in rooms elsewhere in the hotel. This was disappointing, particularly as one of our friends has mobility issues. However, after 2 nights they were all moved. One set of friends moved to the room next door to us and the others were directly below us. We really enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff all go above and beyond and always greet you with a smile. We had breakfast and lunch in the Greek restaurant as it was convenient for us, but in the evening we mostly went to the main restaurant. We also really enjoyed our A La Carte experience. It made a nice change to have our meals served to us. I only have 2 small criticisms, but didn't want to give our experience 4 stars instead of 5 because of this Firstly, I am coeliac, and alot of the food wasn't labelled, particularly in The Greek restaurant, so this did make things a bit difficult for me. Secondly, the drinks at the beach bar really weren't that good. I love the atmosphere there, but sadly the drinks weren't great. The drinks on the Verandah terrace in the evening were so much better. However, overall we did have a fantastic holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone. We don't tend to return to places but I certainly would never say never. What a little gem of a resort… love it. Definitely will return. Lush location, fabulous suite, excellent staff especially Dennis and Christina in the pool bar, every day polite, friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return. Thank you all staff at this lovely place.
