Doria Hotel Bodrum

Honestly, it was a wonderful experience; I truly felt like I was in a second home. Everyone was so friendly and kind.

I visited for 4 nights in Mid July. The hotel check-in is prompt. This was fortunate as my flight was slightly delayed meaning i had 5 minutes before the kitchen shut. However the staff were happy to cook me a meal which was appreciated Rooms are spacious if not slightly basic. The Wifi is good and rooms are very clean. The main pool area is lovely. And has a spectacular view of Bodrum. There is a second pool which wasn't really used but was still nice to chill out in. The staff were happy to let me relax around the pool on the last day which was good as my flight was very late. Couple of niggles. the menu in the hotel is extremely expensive. 3-4 x as much for a bottle off Efes here than a 2 minute drive down the road to Gumbet. Food is the same. I was shocked as they were Paris / London prices in the hotel The beach the bus takes you too is a private area owned by the hotel not a proper beach / boardwalk area. However it is free so can't complain too much There is a vey steep hill if walking to the hotel. It was no issue for myself but just be wary if you are walking back one day Breakfast was very basic. Overall i would stay in this hotel but get taxis all the time for meals to keep costs down.

My wife and I stayed at the Doria Hotel Bodrum for two nights. We had a comfortable stay throughout, a family of 6 with one room being a suite due to two kids under age 4. Our check-in was done fast and professionally and Hassan also offered us good tourism options taking into consideration we had only two full days here. We liked his idea of going for a 5 stop boat tour the next day - an excellent experience with a pasta-salad/large chicken nugget lunch served on board and swimming at 5 stops: (a pair of spare water shoes in your bag are good to have for such an excursion as boat operators keep all street footwear in a bag). Emir took us to our three rooms and professionally settled us in. He was also kind enough to arrange for us to see the France versus Spain World Cup game in the Lounge late at night. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The washroom was good and the bath shower was easy to use. The view from our balcony (shown here) of the Aegean Sea with some islands and a marina was spectacular. Lokman handled our room change professionally. He also sent us a complimentary fruit basket with nuts that we relished. The hotel is conveniently located from the beach and offers regular free shuttle service to the beach. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. Dorian Staff are pleasant and very friendly and helpful. The swimming pools are nice. We used the infinity pool on one day and the other one another day. Breakfast was good (even without an omelette making station) but a little too crowded. I suggest the hotel keeps a second table (or lane) to avoid congestion. Cutlery, especially spoons, should be more easily accessible. They had a “Pizza” baking spot to make pizza-like treats. We did not see anyone here on the second day. We had dinner at the Blu Restaurant in the hotel. The quality of food was good. We enjoyed the grilled chicken breast we ordered. We felt very welcome and even the folks at the door were very helpful in getting us taxis. Our overall experience was that of complete satisfaction. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable experience in Bodrum. Munir

Wonderful hotel, very safe staff is amazing. Manager is lovely and bubbly, head chef is on top of everything.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Our holiday was completely ruined after my bracelet went missing from our room following housekeeping. The hotel initially claimed that we were present during the cleaning process, which was simply untrue. We returned to our room after it had already been cleaned. We had only collected our clothes from the end of the bed before leaving, while my bracelet had been left next to my pillow. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the staff immediately shifted the blame onto me, saying it was my responsibility to keep valuables in the safe. While I understand the purpose of a safe, I do not expect my belongings to disappear from a room that only hotel staff have accessed. Guests should be able to leave their room without worrying that personal belongings may go missing. I spoke to several members of staff as well as the hotel manager. Unfortunately, the manager was extremely rude, repeatedly raising his voice, rolling his eyes, and showing very little professionalism or empathy throughout the situation. The hotel claimed they had “investigated” the matter and searched the cleaner but found nothing. Given how small a bracelet is, that does not reassure me that the investigation was thorough. What concerns me even more is that I later found previous reviews from other guests describing similar incidents involving missing belongings. If multiple guests are reporting the same issue, then the hotel should be taking much greater care with who they employ and how these situations are handled. This should not be a recurring complaint at what is advertised as a five-star hotel. The problems didn’t stop there. The room itself was not cleaned to a high standard, with visible mould growing on the blinds. Room service was also incredibly disappointing—the food was mediocre at best, yet the prices were outrageously expensive for the quality provided. To make matters worse, the hotel’s location is inconvenient, and guests are not allowed to order food from outside the hotel, leaving you with little choice but to pay their inflated prices. Overall, what started as a pleasant holiday ended in an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. The way management handled the situation was unacceptable, and the lack of accountability only made matters worse. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.
