We have had 10nts here with another family. Kids aged 15, 13 and 12. Overall we have had a fab holiday. Transfers - use a private transfer. We arrived at the hotel a good hour before other people on our flight. Check in - asked if we wanted to move to Eftalia Blue for £100. They sell this as a 5 star new hotel. We decided to stay at Aqua due to location. We stayed in a large standard room. Not massive, but fine for a family of 3. Room was clean. Has a kettle and fridge which is restocked with pepsi, fizzy orange and water everyday. Shower was good. Really good water pressure and warm water all the time. View is a new hotel building site and sea! Aircon is good. Get a second key card and leave it in the room at night to leave the aircon running. Food - Burgerland open when the main buffet restaurant is closed. Stays open all night so perfect for us when we arrived at 2am. Its basic food in there. Burgers, nuggets, chips, pasta and salads. Main buffet restaurant gets very busy. My advice is find a table, then have a good look at both sides of the restaurant to see whats being served before you decide. I have enjoyed the food in there, loads of choice. If you only like ‘British’ foods, you might struggle, but my advice is to try the foods on offer as everything is really tasty. It is very repetitive, and they serve a lot of Turkey!!! Buffett is open 7-9pm at night and gets packed! By 8:30pm staff are clearing away food, so don’t be late in or you’ll end up with a very limited choice! Breakfast wasn’t brill. Nothing English apart from fried eggs. The food court on the island is good. Fried chicken, toasties, pizza, kebabs, waffles and burgers. This is open 12-4. There are places within 10mins walk for food and drinks. For a brekkie you are looking at €10. I have found eating and drinking out to be quite expensive compared to places like Spain. Pools - the staff work non stop to keep everything clean. Slides are good at the hotel, and easier to find sun beds there. Slides on the island also good but busier. Main pool gets mega busy. I tried to get sun beds at 7am one day and there were none without a towel already on them! You can hire gazebo’s around the main pool and on the beach. These are €25 per day and worth every penny to avoid looking for sun beds! The adults only pool is lovely to have a bit of peace and quiet. Drinks - for an all inclusive, this is really what lets this hotel down. Whiskey, white rum, vodka, gin, raki and soft drinks are included. If you want anything branded or a cocktail, you have to pay. Cocktails were lovely, but €9 each so adds up. The all inclusive drinks just get really boring and are definitely watered down as you can’t even get merry drinking them all day! Ice creams are only available for free for a couple of hours a day. Waffles are free for a couple of hours in the pool snack bar which are good. There is a lot of things that you and your kids might want that you have to pay for, so be prepared. We used the Spa and had a relaxing couple of hours. The massage was amazing! I advise to take Lira as it works out cheaper for you when paying for things. We have had two trips. We booked with Tony Montana. Buggy and Quads was ok. The jeep safari was amazing! Such a good day and well worth £26 per person! All in all we have had a fab holiday and the kids have loved it. We have spent quite a bit on extras (cocktails, ice creams, eating out, etc) but we’re on holiday and luckily had saved for extras! Personally I wouldn’t come back to Eftalia just because of the drinks, but apart from that it is really good!
