Eftalia Ocean

The hotel was very loud and the beds were uncomfortable so I couldn't get to sleep but the waterslides were very fun and I enjoyed the food.

We had a fantastic stay at Eftalia Ocean! The staff were all friendly, welcoming and super helpful throughout our visit. Our room was stunning, with a double & single bed plus a separate dressing room, was cleaned every day - The sea and pool view made it even more special. There was a good variety of food to choose from, something for everyone! The location is very convenient, very close to the beach and the bus stop is just a short walk away by the shopping outlet - only 140 TL return to Alanya town and the marina, great for all your shopping and boat trips - there is also a market by the hotel every Sunday. The only minor downsides were the limited drink selection compared to other hotels and our à la carte experience. We had booked it for a celebration, while the food was absolutely delicious, no extra touches were made for the occasion! Overall, a bright, clean, and enjoyable hotel, perfect for a great holiday with beautiful views.

Beautiful family-friendly resort, with outstanding hospitality. Staff were incredibly welcoming and our room was stunning. Upon arrival, we walked into our immaculately clean swim-up room, not a spec of dust anywhere. Huge credit to the cleaning team who made sure our room was spotless and who, during our stay, did an excellent job maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene which can be very hard to come by these days. I also wanted to say thank you so much to the resort’s animator, Mr Socks, for making me and my family’s holiday so wonderful and fun. You did an excellent job of making sure everybody was having a good time, throughout the entire day, talking to everybody and engaging with them. It wouldn’t have been the same without you and you really made us have such beautiful memories on our first ever (but not last) trip to Türkiye. You do such an amazing job of brightening the atmosphere up and making everybody so happy and enjoy themselves, and we love to see all of the cool and colourful outfits you wear. I haven’t posted a review for a while but, have been travelling in the meantime. This is my latest review with another 4 to be added. Aware that people may read my reviews, I will always tell it as it is, whether good or bad. I am going to bullet point shortly but, just needed to say something about the hotel first. I will just say here that one person’s experience may not be exactly the same as another but, when everyone around you is saying the same thing, there must be something in it. So on to this hotel. What a beautiful and amazing experience at this hotel! When I booked it, I had set no expectation other than just finally getting away on a break in 2025. When we pulled up to this hotel after about 2.5 hrs travel from the airport it was a relief and it looked nice enough. Walking in the time travelling there dissipated into the distance to be honest; stunning. On arrival, we were about 15 mins away from the dining restaurant being closed so thoughtfully, the staff gave us our wristbands so we could go and eat. In the meantime, they prepared our room cards and hotel info which were waiting for us on the counter (secure of course) to collect. When I was told I was on the 6th floor, I thought yes to be expected as a solo traveller, top floor out of the way, not knowing the room that was waiting me. I opened the door and the first word out of my mouth was wow! I went to look straight out the window though expecting to see building work or something to that effect as sometimes happens. Again, it was another surprise as there was a lovely view of the pool, the children’s water area, a good view all round and across the way was the sea, to be seen better in the morning light. Yes, there is a road by the hotel but, it does not interfere with the holiday at all. Also, to get to the beach, you don’t cross the road as the hotel cleverly, has its own tunnel👌🏿I was in Room 6128 and was able to watch the sun rise in the morning, directly in front of me. The rooms opposite me on the other side, watched the sun setting I am told. The room did not need a spot of cleaning. Everything was immaculate, and I cannot complain one iota; it would be a travesty if I did. So to the bullet points in no particular order:- HOTEL •4/4.5hrs flight from the UK •2.5hrs drive from airport to hotel but well worth it. The driver also stopped for us to have a toilet break both ways. •Stunning building; very clean and welcoming. •Nice, helpful, pleasant Reception, cleaning and restaurant staff. ROOM •Beautiful room; huge with a double and single bed. •Great AC and well equipped room with sockets etc… •TV •Plenty of lighting and separate reading lights. •Beautiful large well equipped bathroom with a massive shower head, another powerful smaller one too, hair dryer, nice toilet etc…Plenty of towels and body wash. Even on the 6th floor there was lovely hot water and no toilet flushing problems. •Large wardrobe area and other storage places. •Really comfortable bed. •Tea & coffee facility with own station included and, a fridge with water and soft drinks. There was space to put a bit of food if you wanted. •Safe provided which I didn’t use as I couldn’t close it but, I didn’t need or report it. •Tip boxes in room, dining areas etc… No one directed me to the boxes but I did use them myself. •Nice, clean balcony with table, chairs and drying rails. Seems every room overlooks or sees the pools and sea. AROUND THE HOTEL & JUST OUTSIDE ON THE PROPERTY •Lifts are situated either side of the hotel on all the floors and, they operate very quick and well. There’s a bin outside the lift if you need one so in effect, the lifts stay clean. •Z floor leads to dining room, games area, shops and to outside or just use the stairs. •L floor leads to Reception and 24hr bar plus numerous seatings etc… •Nice enough entertainment area with a bar that closes at 11.00pm but there is a 24hr bar In reception. Just be aware though that people smoke Shishas here. I’m non smoking but this didn’t interfere with me or the children running around. •Children’s disco first then adults. •Huge pool & smaller ones. Although very appealing, I didn’t use them this time. •Tunnel to beach; very close on their property which means you don’t go on the road. •Suitable for children, adults, families and disabled alike. •Plenty of food & drinks stations; you cannot starve. •Really decent food and drinks and no stomach problems. •Access to Drs both in hotel & at the beach area. •A La Cartés - book straightaway at Customer Relations. The Italian A La Carté is hard to get into as it’s very popular. •Had a gym; I didn’t use it. •Soft Play & Kids area. •Plenty for adults & children alike to do. •Wifi intermittent on 6th floor but, still worked good enough being free. It worked well downstairs in Reception of course as the hub and was able to use it outside and on the balcony. You can upgrade to a premium wifi. •Plenty of hotel shops on site but a little expensive as is expected. •A few roaming cats. I don’t like animals around me especially when I’m eating but, I have to say there was no problem with them as, they seem to know not to jump on the tables or bother you. •Jet2 located in reception behind the 24hr bar. •Trolleys on the hallway landings for dirty glasses etc.. •Quiet at night time in the hotel so your sleep isn’t disturbed. •About 5.30/6.00am there is a call to prayer but wasn’t disturbing to me; it’s cultural. •Toilets everywhere all very clean and tidy. •You can hear the music from the entertainment area up to about 23.00hrs but then that bar closes as there is the 24hr bar inside. On holiday, I personally don’t mind the loud music. •I can’t comment on this one as I didn’t go there but, I heard that the excursion to the Land of Legends was well worth it; I’ll book it next time. WEATHER •Very pleasant this stay; no coat needed during the day. •Slightly chilly for me in the night so I turned off the AC and put the heating on. I also used the blanket from the other bed too but, that’s just me. ACTUALLY OUTSIDE THE HOTEL •Nice to be able to walk peacefully to some shops about 5/10 mins down the road however, I didn’t see a Jewellery shop and wanted to explore the town centre. •Bus €2 to centre of Alanya (takes about 30 mins depending on traffic) and has quite a few shops. The bus driver was helpful and told me to get the No 50 or 30 back to the hotel. The bus stops at the Terminus. I didn’t explore the whole area or stop to eat owing to time but, I was able to get the things I was looking for in a short space of time. As usual, the people are lovely and all want you to come into their shops but, you can’t do all. Also, just always be aware of the conversion rates and know what you are paying as, everyone wants to make money. JET2 Summoned up in one word? Organised! You could find them in the hotel and at the airport both going and coming. They are on the ball giving you relevant information by text, email etc… about your trip so you shouldn’t go wrong with them. Their service is great and very easy to use. Then there is their famous voucher giving as you exit the plane. We were all given 2 vouchers each which I intend to use plus getting extra money off in the App. COMPLAINTS There really is none but, if I have to say anything, it would be the following which actually is in the hotel’s favour so isn’t, a complaint really but advice. •Can you consider smaller portions on the dips and bread served at the beginning of The Grill A La Carté please?😊If you are on your own as I was, the food was too much for one person; just my opinion. It was really nice food and I heard others say the same but, I couldn’t finish it all. When I go back which I will, I will definitely book to have the Grill again but, as I won’t be on my own that time, the amount of food will probably be fine. SUMMING UP Great holiday all round but, I spent too short a time there. You need a minimum of a week to 10 days really.

Mrs. Aishe is the kindest housekeeper we’ve ever met in our entire lives. She cleans with incredible precision and care, and every time we return to our room, we know it will be spotless and tidy. Mrs. Aishe makes beautiful towel decorations on the bed — they’re almost too nice to take apart at night. Very sweet and absolutely the best — Mrs. Aishe deserves a raise!!!
