We were at the Ocean Coral at the end of May when it was hot and humid. Having asked for a quiet room and upgraded to Privilege, we had a fantastic Junior Suite in Block 2 with really good air con and a jacuzzi bath on the balcony. We spent our days at the adult only El Beso pool where Carlos, Jose and Claudia kept us well supplied with towels and and iced water. Some days we stayed on the beach where the breeze was stronger - beautiful, soft white sand but shame about the amount of seaweed. The tractor couldn’t clear it fast enough and was quite noisy trundling up and down the beach. You might want to consider getting a trailer to fill and a quiet electric 4x4 to tow it (other hotels do this), as this would be less intrusive for guests. Food and drink was a highlight of our stay. Ricardo at the El Beso pool bar was brilliant. He remembered our favourite drinks and kept us supplied throughout the day, as well as offering us new cocktails to try. He worked really hard to make sure his customers were happy and deserves a big shout out. We had booked Privilege because my husband is allergic to wheat and had spotted that nearly all the a la carte restaurants offered gluten free options. With Privilege you can eat a la carte every night, which we did. The food was delicious at Sensai, Blue Moon, the Brazilian, and especially the Privilege Lounge where we had excellent service from Emmanuel, Angel and Jaime. It makes so much difference when staff understand allergies and know how to keep you safe. Even at the buffet, Miguel showed my husband what to avoid as well as explaining how to get the chefs to provide gluten free foods on request. Thank you so much - it made our holiday really relaxing. Finally, a big thank you to our Butler, Luis. He booked our restaurants and messaged us on WhatsApp every day to remind us where we were eating and what activities were happening each day. He would also seek us out to check we were happy and see if we needed any help. His knowledge and support were much appreciated. Thanks Ocean Coral & Turquesa, we will likely come back.
