El Morro Eco Adventure Hotel

Lovely hotel with warm and welcoming staff! I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend. There is wide selection of food and drinks, as well as a great pool on the property. We stayed here on a trip to Punta Rucía, and it was a great option for exploring the north coast of the island.

Very nice hotel located very close to the Morro in Montecristi, DR. I like a lot how is designed…like small cabins each one has 2 doublerooms and one individual small terrace in the front. Breakfast is a la carte and included and the variety is more than enough and good quality as well. It has a nice pool area and another common and big terrace space. Literally all staff was very kind and professional. There is a kind of beach very close from the hotel maybe just like 300 mts. away. It is not a real beach but a nice place where people can easily go to take swimm or enjoy a sunrise or a sunset. It’s not dangerous at all. We had dinner twice at the hotel and food was very good as well. Despite all these good things I have mentioned I still believe is a bit overpriced because Montecristi is a very remote town and there is not much to do around

We were in Santiago on our way to a hotel in Dajabon when we found out that unrest at the border had made its way into the area of our planned hotel stay. With the military called out to deal with the problem, we did not feel comfortable sticking with our plans and started to look at other options. That lead to some quick phone calls. The staff at El Morro Eco were very helpful in making arrangements to accommodate our group (4 rooms). On arrival we were greeted with cold drinks and assisted getting bags to our rooms. We had a late dinner and everyone was very happy with the quality of the food. The reception lobby, bar area, and dining area were all very clean and looked very nice. Everything was very well maintained. Staff was very professional and attentive. The rooms were also very nice. Clean and comfortable. Lights and air conditioning worked and there was plenty of hot water. A few of us wanted to try the pool, but we were all exhausted. I planned on going for a swim the next morning, but I slept in a bit and by the time I woke up I only had time to grab a quick breakfast and jump in the car to get to our first meetings in Dajabon. The pool certainly looked inviting. Breakfast was great, and I believe it was included with the room charge. In summary, while we didn't have time to explore the area and really enjoy the hotel, we appreciated the assistance staff provided and we were impressed with the hotel. We are regularly in the area working on Rotary community projects in Dajabon, but I think we were all in agreement that we would like to try and stay for a couple of days at El Morro Eco on a future trip for a little R & R after our work is done.
