Electra Kefalonia Hotel and Spa

I visited the Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa as an external guest, and I had a truly great experience. Efthymia !! welcomed me warmly and made me feel comfortable right away. She spoke English and gave me a relaxing, professional massage. The spa environment was peaceful and clean. Highly recommended even if you're not staying at the hotel u should give it a go!!

We had an amazing stay at the Electra as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) the hotel, pool and restaurant are fabulous and we would definitely return. All the staff are lovely and really friendly and the rooms was cleaned everyday. I had a free facial in the spa which was fabulous Breakfast was really nice and eggs made to order and a good selection of coffees. The planes come over the hotel every 30 mins (not everyday) but we really enjoyed watching them, it made our experience at this hotel even more enjoyable. Ammes beach across the road is lovely, 4 Sunbeds and a brolly €40. There are a few taverns within 5 mins walk plus more restaurants 25 mins walk- we did get a taxi to the restaurants a few evenings and walked back. . Overall we had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend- my only advice would be a happy hour early evening as the cocktails were rather pricey (although delicious)

After a few disheartening setbacks in our trip—including some canceled wedding-planning appointments and a rural stay that left me at the mercy of every mosquito in Kefalonia (my legs must have been the region’s five-star buffet)—we were in desperate need of some reprieve and restoration. It was during a late morning internet search that I stumbled upon this gem of a hotel, and from the moment I made contact, the experience was seamless. The customer service was nothing short of exceptional—impeccable attention to detail, genuine warmth, and world-class hospitality from the very first email. I was fortunate enough to speak with DANAE, who truly went above and beyond in every way. Her communication was prompt, thoughtful, and full of empathy. I explained our situation and that I wanted to surprise my fiancé —who was feeling quite low, especially as it was his birthday—with a one-night escape. DANAE ensured every detail was handled discreetly and efficiently, all with such professionalism and care. We arrived that very same day, and despite the last-minute nature of the booking, everything was arranged perfectly. From the beautifully appointed sea view room with a private balcony and access to the spa and wellness facilities, every element was designed to soothe and uplift. As an ex-London squad swimmer, having access to a pristine swimming pool was a huge bonus, especially after struggling to swim during our rural stay. But the highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the surprise birthday dinner. The hotel arranged a perfect chocolate cake, complete with a candle and a heartfelt chorus of “Happy Birthday” from the staff—not flashy or forced, but authentic and sincere, which made the moment incredibly special. It was the first time in days I saw my partner truly relax and smile. The gastronomic experience at the hotel was divine. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding—the chef’s culinary artistry and the entire restaurant team’s gracious service deserve special recognition. I wish I could remember all their names but everyone of them was special in their own way and I want them to know that when they read this. The food was both elegant and nourishing, and catered perfectly to our preferences. What an incredible chef! Every interaction with staff—from the housekeeping team who maintained the room to perfection, to the general manager who checked in on guests personally—reflected a commitment to excellence and heartfelt hospitality. We originally booked for one night, but it became immediately clear that one night wasn’t enough. I inquired about extending our stay, knowing the hotel was nearly fully booked, and once again, the team rose to the occasion. With transparency, flexibility, and genuine care, they managed to rearrange things and offered us the opportunity to extend our stay by three more nights. It felt, quite honestly, like a gift from the Greek Gods themselves. We spent the rest of our holiday enjoying every inch of this boutique haven—the short walk to Ammes Beach with its crystal clear waters, the tranquil spa downstairs, the glorious food, and the joy of being surrounded by a team that truly understands what luxury hospitality is all about. We left feeling restored, healthier, and happier than we had in months. This wasn’t just a hotel stay—it was a lifeline and a celebration. We’re still planning our wedding, and I can only dream of returning here one day to celebrate it. If I won the lottery, there is no question where we would say “I do.” Until then, I will remain forever grateful for the magic of The Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa and to the entire team who made our stay so unforgettable. To anyone reading this and considering staying here: don’t hesitate. Book it. Treat yourself. You’ll be so glad you did.

I am very lucky to have visited some incredible hotels around the world with my job, and I have to say this is up there with one of my absolute favourites I’ve ever stayed in in Europe. Everything about it was incredible. The vibe, the staff, the rooms, the lovely chilled pool, the spa, just EVERYTHING! We sadly only did 1 night here at the end of our holiday, and I’m now gutted we didn’t stay longer. The views are stunning. Very close to the airport, you see the planes come right over which is incredible and makes great photos. Was no disturbance from this at night. The breakfast was amazing. We also ate at the restaurant and it was one of our favourites from the whole week. They had a live singer on which was brilliant, and the food was outstanding. Our room was lovely with the most stunning sea view. I had a full body massage in the lovely spa which was also great. Every member of staff was lovely, kind and helpful. The manager goes above and beyond and you can tell he truly cares about the hotel, I actually wondered if he owned it he was that passionate. Keep up the good work. I’ll be sending lots more customers here now and will be back myself for sure!

The staff was not very friendly, the breakfast buffet was not good and overpriced. Our keys did not always work, and there was not always anyone at the front desk that was there to help you when this happened. There was just something off about the vibe of this hotel. It’s hard to explain, but my whole family felt the same way.
