Element By Westin Bali Ubud

We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Element Bali Ubud. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel welcome. A special thank you to Miss Nova at the reception, who gave us a wonderful first impression of Bali and the hotel it self with informative and friendly check in. The rooms were quiet, clean, and very comfortable, perfect for a peaceful retreat in Ubud. We were also impressed with the buffet options, which had a good variety and were consistently fresh and delicious. One highlight of our stay was spending an evening at the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, it started to rain while we were there, but the staff were incredibly helpful and quick to respond. They kindly offered to deliver our food and drinks to our room. Overall, the level of service and the calm, relaxing environment really stood out. We’d definitely recommend Element Bali Ubud and would love to return in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The best is the service offered by all the staff who like all Balinese are always friendly and hospitable and quick to attend to anything which is asked of them. A very special thank you to Windi at the front desk who always managed to go above and beyond. a special mention also to Desi in the spa who gave me one of the best massages (attending to my leg pain) and also a great facial. I was considering using a spa outside the hotel as it was cheaper but with the special discount at the time, and also the convenience of staying on location, i chose to be pampered here and it was well worth it. the location of this hotel is very convenient with a couple of restaurants within a 5 min walk, but many others located close by in ubud centre (approx 2 km away-possible to walk if not too hot but a very cheap grab fare away; there is also a free shuttle which runs most evenings). The pool area is lovely. The gym was a bit small and i didn't use it. Yoga was offered each morning of my stay but unfortunately was located on the basketball area near the pool and breakfast area so it was a bit noisy and not relaxing. Breakfast buffet was sufficient, coffee was good-I would have liked a cereal which was not sugar laden, even the granola was chocolate! i was fortunate to be given a room upgrade. However, this was in the furthest block from the breakfast area and foyer. It was very quiet for those who like quiet but it was not as bright as the standard room and the view from the balcony not as good. Next time i will ask to look at rooms before i settle. Overall a lovely relaxing stay and I would happily stay here again.

We spent 4 nights here as part of our first visit to Bali. Unfortunately we found several areas of disappointment which offset the good points. Plus points first: All the staff were very welcoming and eager to help. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our Deluxe Premier room was ultra modern. The clear rooftop platform was a great addition. Negatives: When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed the pool patio was out of bounds as they were setting up for some kind of corporate event. We then had nowhere to go to relax with a drink after our journey other than the restaurant, as the rooftop bar didn’t open until 4pm. There was nowhere within easy walking distance to go. We ended up having to just go sit in our room. Although the staff were lovely, the actual service provided fell short, especially in the restaurant. We ordered a meal with starters and mains. They brought out 2 starters and 1 main all at the same time, and the 2nd starter came out some time later. At another meal we had to twice chase our drinks order as it had been forgotten. Finally, not the hotels fault, but we had night after night of terrible sleep from surrounding close cockerels crowing at intervals during each night and then a cacophony of noise from about 4am onwards.

We stayed with this hotel for two nights before moving on to another part of Bali. However, we wish we had stayed here longer. The hotel generally has beautiful and well kept amenities but as another review mentions (and its reason why we couldn’t quite give 5 stars) is the musty and dampness in the rooms. However, the food is fantastic and a range. We thoroughly enjoyed the yoga class- what a way to start the day and in such a beautiful setting. The best bit… the staff! Their warmth and friendliness is what really made our time there and we are grateful. The only request I would have is for new guests to have a map of the resort as it does feel a bit like a maze at first.

I have used this hotel several times over recent years. It never fails to impress. Hotel is well maintained, lovely pool area, and clean. It is about a thirty minute walk to central Ubud, though the hotel runs a free shuttle several times a day (last one about 6pm or 7pm). Grab cabs and Grab scooters/bikes also easily available via the Grab app, which I used to get back to hotel after the free shuttle had finished. Easy and cheap, about £3 a go from central Ubud to hotel. Staff there are extremely customer focussed. Probably unfair to single individuals out, but for my last trip (just back) a big thanks to Wendi on reception, and the two Adi’s at the pool bar and pool area. Management there run a good hotel. I will definitely be back there next time out in Bali. One thing to mention is the traffic situation in Central Ubud, including the hotel. It has got a lot worse since my last trip. This is outside the hotels control, and am guessing wherever you stay in central Ubud you will have the same issue. It’s the same, if not worse, down South Bali. So, hotel highly recommended. Staff are superb, hotel seems well maintained, and most importantly the price (in my view) is excellent value. Thanks again to everyone at the Element 👍👍👍👍👍😀
