Shangri La in Ubud: a Sanctuary Retreat

The Element in Ubud is a beautiful and safe location for your trip to Ubud. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you to the Monkey Forest and the Art Market area of Ubud- it’s a fabulous benefit. The food from the restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and a couple of dinners at the restaurant. The roof top lounge has great bar tenders who are skilled jugglers as well as mixologists. The food is excellent at the bar. We ordered what we thought would be a snack before dinner, and it was such a large portion, it became dinner. The entire staff of the hotel are pleasant and helpful. They always checked on us and asked if we needed anything or could be of help. They have bicycles and many other activities available on site. You can also book excursions through the hotel. We had a private tour guide through a friend and didn’t need this service, but others who used it said it was very good. We would stay here again and have already checked into reservations for next year. We loved Ubud, the people, the natural beauty, the history, the food and this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel from March 24 to March 26 and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The room was very clean, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit Ubud in the future. A special thank you to Elwin for the warm and smooth check-in, and also to the female front desk staff member who kindly and quickly helped us reissue our second room key. Their friendliness and efficiency really stood out. We also want to sincerely thank Bayu for taking such good care of our room and for leaving us a thoughtful message, which made our stay even more special. In addition, we had quite a few requests during our stay, and we are very grateful to the staff member who assisted us via WhatsApp. The responses were always prompt, kind, and very helpful, which we truly appreciated. Lastly, please extend our thanks to the staff member who drove us to Ubud city and kindly made sure we could board the shuttle to another hotel without any problems. That extra care meant a lot to us. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. You made our stay in Ubud truly memorable, and we look forward to coming back again.

Currently staying at the Element in Ubud. (8 night stay) and am very impressed and happy with how well managed this property is. The room is spacious and comfortable. Very nice pool! Very kind and attentive staff. The shuttle that takes guests to the monkey forest/Ubud centre is a plus! Very happy with the breakfast. Lots of choice. Had an early excursion planned and the hotel went above and beyond by having a take out breakfast and coffee ready for us at 6:00 a.m. Thank you! (Perhaps an updated tv as the apps dont work and the picture could be sharper) Thank you for the continuous 5 star service !

Friendly staff, short drive away from attractions

Overall 4.5/5 stay. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Only downside is location is a ~10mins drive away from Ubud attractions, restaurants. They do hv a shuttle but not very frequent, easy to get a Grab though. Kids club was a bit too basic. A good stay overall.
