Great. 4 stars only because the weather was 'really' bad and there is little to do at the accommodation. The resort itself is about 2.5hrs from Denpasar so (especially if travelling a late flight), it might be good to have a night in Seminyak prior to departure. Traffic is quite bad from the resort to the airport. Munduk (location of Elevate) is beautifully positioned magically above the clouds. We stayed in a villa with a pool, it was large, with both internal and external showers plus large bathtub with views. Initially found the bed a little hard, however, was actually quite comfortable, however, some of the pillows were a little hard for us. As mentioned there are very few activities at the resort and we were not willingly informed about them, we had to ask. The only activity (apart from jungle , lake and waterfalls) was a yoga session. No township or shops nearby. The resort had a spa which was reasonably priced (for a resort), the food was good (we had half board), however, the bar ran out of some wines that were available by the glass (had to pressure them to open a bottle of a similar nature to serve by the glass). The resort cabins were accessed by buggy service, which were very quick when called. Of course being in Bali, the staff were amazing, nothing a problem for them. There is a beautiful Koi pond on site. Even though rooms are large, I would not want to holiday there with a family, we think 3 days is enough unless you like to laze by the pool, as the resort is quite hilly to walk around. It is a glimpse into what Bali might have been like before discovered for its beach culture. Bought this trip through Luxury Escapes and have to say it was one of their good ones.
