Stay: May 2026 (Arrived Tuesday evening th.5.may 2026) Status: Currently staying at the hotel We are currently staying at ELIVI Hotels in Room 1004, and we unfortunately feel compelled to share our disappointment. As frequent travelers who have visited many hotels worldwide, we must state that this establishment does not live up to the expectations of a 5-star hotel. In our experience, many 3-star hotels provide a more professional and seamless service than what we have encountered here. Room 1004 and Facilities Our stay has been marred by several issues regarding the room and general comfort: Arrival & Service: Upon arrival, I insisted on carrying my own luggage to the room, but this request was not accepted. It does not feel like "service" when a guest’s personal preferences are ignored. Climate & Comfort: The hallways are extremely cold, which caused our room to be freezing upon arrival. We had to request extra blankets just to stay warm at night. Technical Issues: The electrical panel in the room makes a constant clicking sound. It is so loud and persistent that we are forced to turn off the power entirely at night to be able to sleep. Maintenance: In the middle of the night, the soap holder in the bathroom fell off the wall with a loud crash, which gave us quite a shock. Breakfast and Lack of Structure The breakfast experience was a major disappointment. Despite descriptions from both our travel agency (Spies) and the hotel itself promising a buffet, we were met with an à la carte menu. Even though there were approximately 15 staff members for 15 guests, the coordination was non-existent: My omelet arrived after 15 minutes—my wife’s arrived 5 minutes after mine. Another 25 minutes passed before my fruit bowl arrived. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, our bread and cheese had still not arrived. We were literally getting up to leave in frustration when the food finally appeared. It was clear that other guests at neighboring tables were experiencing the same delays, leading to a collective sense of disbelief and "gallows humor" among the guests. Day 2: We hoped for improvement, but it was still too slow. The first items arrived after 15 minutes. I reordered an omelet after 20 minutes, but the staff forgot the order completely. I had to ask for the food again and wait an additional 15 minutes. Strategic Suggestion: As a business owner myself, I see a very inefficient model here. With a 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio, the service remains chaotic. If the promised buffet were implemented, guests would receive their food immediately, the hotel could likely reduce labor costs by 50%, and the guest experience would be significantly improved. Shortcomings in the Spa Area The spa facilities are a major disappointment for a 5-star resort: The Pool: The "swimming pool" in the spa is very small—only about $5 imes 4$ meters. Facilities: Both the steam bath and the sauna were cold when we attempted to use them. A fully functional spa is a baseline expectation for a luxury hotel, and here they fail completel Atmosphere and Service Strategy While the staff is generally friendly, they appear highly uncoordinated and lack a clear strategy for service. Every employee seems to be acting on their own without direction. Furthermore, we found it intrusive to be constantly approached. For example, when visiting one of the terraces to enjoy the view, we were immediately accosted and asked if we wanted to buy drinks. When you go on a luxury vacation, you expect to be able to relax in peace. The constant "upselling" feels more like a street vendor experience than the discreet, high-end service one pays for at a 5-star resort. Conclusion Skiathos is a stunning island with beautiful beaches, and the hotel's location is undoubtedly lovely. However, considering the price point and the 5-star rating, we cannot recommend ELIVI Hotels as it currently operates. We hope management takes this feedback from Room 1004 seriously, as the physical potential of the resort is being undermined by poor management and lack of structure.

Wonderful hotel with stunning views overlooking the bay and with the best access to three beaches. Big Banana beach in front of the main hotel and Small Banana beach (the official nudist beach on the island) and Koukanaries beach where the water taxi can be found to take you into town. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped, the breakfast is to die for, so many options. The staff are lovely and there are several restaurants in and around the hotel. The Greek people are lovely and the service is absolutely great. Relaxing environment. Buggy rides to take you down to the beach and bring you back again as well as drinks on the beach and some very comfy sunbeds which are top quality. All in all our favourite hotel and our favourite beaches. Especially Small Banana (Black Swan area of Elivi) which is a quiet and relaxed beach full of really nice people, mostly nude but some clothed. Great service, great location and everything you could possibly need.

Lovely hotel this was a returning visit. Unfortunately this time service at breakfast and breakfast experience very poor every day. Young inexperienced waitresses tables uncleared no one showing to table. Long queue for omelette. So different from our first visit. Manager in restaurant rude.
