AMAZING time

This place was amazing we loved it so much and stayed for 1 week and so much to discover! We especially loved the night snorkelling tour we did with Ibrahim who was so lovely. And especially the bar staff who were so nice and remembered us every time we came back - Nazeer. Damith. Osanda . Naïf. Chandana. Saddam - you guys are the best!

From the moment we arrived at Ellaidhoo Resort in the Maldives, we were absolutely blown away by its stunning natural beauty and world-class hospitality. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, and lush greenery made us feel like we had stepped into a postcard. The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every request was met with a smile, and we felt pampered throughout our stay. Our overwater villa was breathtaking, with panoramic ocean views, a private deck, and direct access to the lagoon – perfect for early morning swims and sunset lounging. Dining at the resort was a treat every day. The meals were fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, with a great balance of local Maldivian dishes and international cuisine. The seafood was especially outstanding! We also loved the range of activities: snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs, relaxing spa treatments, and peaceful sunset cruises that felt straight out of a dream. Ellaidhoo is the kind of place where time slows down and every moment feels special. Whether you’re seeking romance, adventure, or pure relaxation, this resort has it all. We can’t wait to return!

I stayed at the resort for a week and overall had a lovely experience. The island itself is beautiful and clearly committed to sustainability, which was great to see. Pros: • The resort is well-priced for what it offers. • The food was good, with different options available each night to keep things interesting. • They host themed evenings such as movie nights and karaoke, which add a nice touch to the stay. • Special mention to Nazeer, one of the bartenders—he was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He genuinely made our trip more enjoyable. Cons: • We booked a tour intended to showcase local island life, but unfortunately, it was poorly executed. There was no guide provided, and the island itself had very little to see—no proper shops or public toilets. For $45 USD (especially considering we were on half board), it was disappointing that no lunch or refreshments were included. The tour was supposed to be from 9 AM to 12 PM, but we didn’t return until 2 PM due to a slow boat transfer. Thankfully, the hotel did refund us and offered a complimentary massage as compensation. • If you’re buying drinks, opt for the glass-bottled cola. Otherwise, you’ll be served refillable soft drinks and charged $6 USD—which isn’t worth it in our opinion. • Extras like snorkeling equipment incur additional charges. When you’re already spending over £2,000, it would be nice if these were included. All in all, it’s a nice resort that offers a good balance between price and comfort. Just be mindful of a few add-on costs and avoid the local tour unless improvements are made.

Amazing snorkelling in the house reef, great All Inc offer, superb staff throughout and very clean.

Couple stay in a water bungalow for a week during off-peak (Monsoon) season. The snorkelling was amazing - literally 10 metres in places to amazing house reefs with most the sea life you’d want to see as an amateur snorkeller! We even saw a selection of turtles, sharks (nurse and black tip) and rays (inc Manta) just sitting on our water bungalow balcony. The All Inclusive offer was excellent, with a good variety of cocktails plus beer and house wine. It also included eating in the excellent a La carte restaurant Seanic. Staff were all excellent without exception and the cleanliness of every where was really good too. What didn’t we like - not much to be honest. - Main restaurant is buffet styles for all meals (suits some but we didn’t feel thrilled by it - but spoilt by Seanic being all included in All Inc package) - pretty hot and poor ventilation in main restaurant too. - The off special event (Seafood and Meat BBQ night) wasn’t part of All Inc, so at 65 USD/head didn’t feel good value to us (I have suggested that a supplement of 25 USD for All Inc would feel fair). - Seaplane transfer is definitely the way ahead of you can afford 400 USD each but be prepared to wait for your flight on arrival (we had 5.5 hours between touchdown in Male and Seaplane take-off. Overall - we would definitely return at this time of year where the costs are lower and felt super value for money.
