This hotel is nice—nice, but nothing more. The 5-star rating it often gets just doesn’t reflect the reality in my opinion. There’s a part of me that thinks the Instagram stories and photos oversell it. They look amazing, but the reality doesn’t quite live up to the hype and can feel a bit underwhelming. The rooms are modern and beautifully decorated, but they’re on the small side—more like a studio setup. There’s no couch or lounge area inside, and the sink is actually in the main room. It looks stylish but isn’t very practical. The shower is fine—not great, not terrible. We had a swim-up room, which was definitely a highlight. The outdoor bed/couch setup was amazing, and the pool was lovely, if a bit chilly at first. Our view, unfortunately, had a massive electric pole right in front of it—not ideal, but obviously not the hotel’s fault. The food is okay. Some in our group weren’t impressed, but I’m not too fussy and found enough to enjoy. Meats, fish, potatoes, and rice were all nicely done. Breakfast was average, and lunch/dinner menus didn’t vary much. There were no labels on the food at first, which was frustrating, but that’s now been fixed. The hotel grounds are lovely, though hilly in places. Not a problem for us, but something to consider if mobility is an issue. The drinks are also okay—standard soft drinks, decent wine, and basic beer. Cocktails are fine but nothing special. Pool-wise, it’s a mixed bag. The main pool is basic—like an Olympic-style pool—with limited sun loungers and even fewer umbrellas. There’s a baby pool nearby that looks suitable for little ones. The water slides are fun for a short while, and they suit all ages, but again, the pool space around there is quite limited. Staff are generally fine. The slide area and bar staff are friendly, as are reception, but overall service is hit and miss elsewhere. Entertainment in the evening is okay. We caught the Greek night and a music quiz—both were decent. After that, they just leave music playing until around 11pm, and then everything winds down. The rooms are kept clean and tidy, with fresh towels daily, which is appreciated. One annoying thing: there’s an extra charge for the snack bar by the slides. It’s probably the most convenient food option, so having to pay extra isn’t great. Apparently, there’s another free snack bar somewhere else, but we haven’t come across it yet. Location-wise, it’s not ideal if you’re looking for lively bars or restaurants nearby. Great if you’re planning to take the bus, though—the stop is right outside. There also seem to be quite a few hidden extras—towel rental, some food options, etc.—which isn’t what you’d expect from a true 5-star experience. We’ve booked the steakhouse for Friday (you get one free meal during your stay), and it looks nice—it’s located near the water slides. Overall, I’d give this a 3.5 out of 5. I rounded it up to 4 just because of the swim-up room, which really made the stay more enjoyable. As for value for money—hard to say. I don’t feel ripped off, but I don’t feel like I got a great deal either. Without the swim-up room, I probably would’ve been disappointed.
