A great hotel to stay in the International Drive area; there are bars and restaurants within close walking distance - which you don’t get with many hotels further down ID towards the parks. Great suite, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary (where I’m staying as I write this it’s $45 pp!) so that’s a bonus. Bar as usual with Embassy is in centre of the huge atrium. Jason the barman was great - a credit to the mixologists’ craft. Probably stay here again next year when work brings me back.

Centrally Located To Everything - This Hotel Is Extremely Walkable!

The last time I stayed here was about 10 years ago so when we made reservations to stay here, it seemed very familar with some changes. For example, the E'terie seems new which offers sandwiches, pizzas, burgers for dinner from 5pm to 10pm. This replaces the room service option the hotel offered some time ago. The rooms still seemed the same - same coloring, theming, but the beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast buffet in the morning is always the highlight when staying here, but when it's overrun by high school swimming teams, chaperones, and their coaches, getting anything seemed like a challenge, but the staff kept up with the demand. The pool is always the interesting feature here - 1/2 in and 1/2 out. They do a manager's drink reception thing every evening, but since my wife and I don't drink - we didn't partake in it and wound up giving our tickets to a random lady down the hall from us. The front desk staff was great to interact with. The one thing I wasn't a fan of was their "spin the wheel" thing where they give points to the Hilton Diamond Members, so when I spun the wheel and won 1500 hilton honors points, I was given a bag of peanuts instead. Hey...thanks for treating a Silver Member to a bag of nuts. I think you should honor the points towards the silver members. The diamond members have enough points... some of us don't stay at Hilton hotels all the time. So, if that wheel thing was the only thing negative I can say about this location - then...let's call that a good thing. The one thing I really loved about this location was the fact that it's so close to EVERYTHING. ICON PARK - right across the street. WONDERWORKS - 1 mile RIPLEYS - Less than a mile Lots of dining options - Red Robin, Uno's, Joe's Crab Shack, etc... Not a bad stay.... will we be back? I think so, but let me spin the wheel and if I win 1500 Hilton Honors points..... just add them to my account. It doesn't cost you anything. Thanks! :D

Not a good start

Upon arrival the front desk staff had very bad, nasty attitudes. They told me that I had 2 rooms booked that night, one of which I had proof(cancellation email) that it as cancelled. They were very short and did not want to hear it. I then called hotels.com for them to call the hotel to verify the cancellation. The short, dark haired man said that he could not guarantee that I would not be charged for the cancelled room. He then asked for my credit card to place a $100 hold for incidentals. I looked on the website and confirmation email and I never saw anything about $100 hold. I did see the parking fee but not that. Upon entering the room, there were 2 huge juice-like stains on the floor. I travel a lot with my daughter and nephew and have stayed at Embassy Suites before. I’ve only had to reserve $25, not $100. That policy needs to be listed online, not told when you show up. I will never stay at this location again!!

Great place to stay for business trip

I stayed here while attending a conference at Orange County Convention Center. Room 613 faced the big Ferris wheel with great views of the sunrise. No traffic noise. The friendly helpful staff was the best part. This location still has made to order omelets. I highly recommend!

Disappointing

I have stayed at many Embassy Suites and this was the most disappointing one. The rooms are dark and dingy and lack adequate lighting. Between the noise from the highway and the noise from the people in the atrium at night, restful sleep was nearly impossible. The hotel has quiet hours from 10PM until 7AM but they are clearly not enforced.
