Esperides Beach

We stayed as a group of 4 adults and 3 children, we were in the “older” rooms and they were absolutely fine. Everywhere is spotless and the food was really good. The snack bar at tutti fruity was a hit for dinner and the kids loved the candy floss. Kids loved the mini disco and the live entertainment at the pool was good too. Andreas at the pool bar was lovely and the kids loved Lara on the animation team, I would 100% return.

Wow! All I can say. We had an incredible week here - we used ELITE VIP transfers who were phenomenal too, so if you’re after a decent transfer company it cost us €90 for 2 adults and one child from the airport to hotel and back again. As for this hotel. The ONLY thing that lets it down slightly is the drinks - even soft drinks were very flat/sweet/syrupy. The pina colada’s and Aperol spritz’s were good though! We found the self serve soft drinks to be better at the snack bar behind the water slides. Wine was like vinegar but the beer is good! The staff are phenomenal - from the entertainment crew who dance and give the best energy ALL DAY in the scorching heat (I’ll never get how they do that!), the bar and restaurant staff are all so lovely and can’t tend to you quick enough, receptionists are always happy and ready to help. They’re all wonderful and a simple ‘kalimera’(good morning) goes such a long way. The main restaurant was very large, never felt too packed although I can imagine in the summer holidays it gets very busy, and we did sit outside so maybe that helped. Food was exceptional - amazing fresh salads, meats, fresh made pizzas. Greek desserts were phenomenal, although I will say maybe just stick to the ice cream if you’re a fussy one for desert’s as they’re very exotic and flavourful, not just plain cakes etc! In the blue bar there are help yourself waffles and donuts from 11-6 and if I’m going to write something, I need to tell you to try the donut balls. They are insanely good. The mini disco starts at 8:30, followed by kids games before the entertainment. Theres a good park under cover next to the stage, has the same pebble sand grounds as the beach so just be prepared for your shoes to be full 😂 There is sometimes entertainment in the pool bar and the blue bar too, usually a singer/band or acrobats which were all really good. Blue bar is more of a chilled out adults space I would say. Lovely vibe there! The staff come round the pool at 10am, perform their club dance (which I think they do 3/4 times each day by the main pool) and get into their games. We saw yoga, Spanish dance classes, beach volleyball, water polo, water aerobics, darts.. so much more. They had so much going on in the kids clubs too, beach walks, craft days, environment day. The kids were very well entertained. Shout out to Weronika who my little boy was besotted with, Gabriel for being so helpful and Ezio who you’ll usually find on the DJ decks hosting so much of the entertainment. Incredibly talented, energetic and great music choice too! The hotel is very accessible, I have mobility issues and there are lifts and ramps everywhere, even down to the beach(just not right down to the sea). So very wheelchair and mobility friendly. We did have to get up early each day to reserve sunbeds but this didn’t bother us, so I went for the big dome cushioned beds around the ‘donut’ pool outside the blue bar. So worth it!! Overall I really cannot fault the place other than the drinks. Spotlessly clean for such a busy hotel, staff are so proactive and friendly, pools are great, food is fantastic, rooms basic but clean with great aircon (we stayed in 7116- does not have an overhead shower, just a hold shower over a bath) grounds are just lovely. Biggest tip; bring beach shoes. You will need them! Games room is very humid but large, lots to do there and plenty of €1 rides/games. This is open 10-10 I think? There’s 2 shops on site, one in the hotel lobby ground floor which sells snacks, lip balms, toiletries, drinks etc, and one pool side that sells magnets, Ice creams, beach toys/buckets/pool floats, toys, slime, keyrings, suncreams, balls. We paid €17 for a pool lilo, €9 for a small football, €3 usually for an ice cream/lolly, €2.70 for a magnet. Just to give some pricing ideas! (Bring beach floats with you if you can as they can get very expensive, however they will inflate them for you in the shop if you buy them from there) Really hope to return one day as it’s a fantastic family hotel for young kids up to I’d say around 7, but there’s so much going on there’s something for everyone. Lovley holiday as always in Rhodes, 1st day our sunbeds were taken, after 10 mins of going to lunch, we were only gone for 40 mins, told by manager after complaint that life guard keeps watch if you leave your sunbeds after an hour & they have the right to remove your towels, fair enough, we never do that & hands up if we had, manager gained our beds back & resolved the situation & we had a lovley sparkling wine sent to our room as an apology. We were then on sunbed watch for the next two weeks, we were unable to lunch together of fear our sunbeds would be taken. We watched the lifeguard take another two beds after a couple went to lunch after ten mins. We then watched the lifeguard take pics of sunbeds at 11,:15 & then never returned to take the towels after being left all day. Apart from spoiling our lunch together this is one of the cleanest & friendly hotels I have ever stayed in including fantastic staff
