Overall Impression We recently stayed at this resort and, while it has certain advantages, it is far from a true 5-star experience — more like an old holiday camp with several blocks. Positives Spacious Grounds: The resort covers a large area, with plenty of space to wander. Three Large Pools: Good variety and ample room to avoid feeling crowded. Private Beachfront Location: Situated right on the first line, making access to the sea very convenient. Fish always plentiful, seafood also served: There is always an abundance of fish on the menu, along with seafood such as octopus and crayfish (the latter served once a week). Management Care: The administration clearly values guest feedback and makes efforts to resolve complaints quickly. Cosy Evening Atmosphere: It’s genuinely lovely to sit in the beach bars at night and enjoy a drink by the sea. Negatives Inflated Star Rating: This hotel is nowhere near a 5-star standard in design, upkeep, or service. Tired Infrastructure: The buildings appear “refreshed,” but only superficially — paint is blistering, and furniture is worn out. Uncomfortable Beds: Mattresses are rock-hard, like sleeping on wooden planks. The pillows are dreadful, seemingly filled with cheap stuffing. Instead of a proper duvet, you are given a narrow sheet reminiscent of train bedding. Old Windows: Wooden frames covered with thick layers of paint add to the feeling of neglect. Untidy and Untrained Staff: Staff lack professionalism and appear shabby — the receptionist wore a stained T-shirt, while waiters in the restaurant had greasy uniforms. Service was inattentive, often distracted by phones, and reception in particular came across as unfriendly and no better than a 3-star level. Food Quality: While plentiful and varied, the dishes are bland and lack flavour. Hazardous Beach Entrance: Large rocks right at the shoreline make entering the sea difficult and potentially dangerous, especially when the waves are rough. Disappointing Beach Restaurant: Dinner here was very poor — tiny portions and badly prepared dishes (e.g. Caesar salad with a 2 cm piece of chicken, fish soup without fish, and dry, overcooked calamari rings). This is particularly odd given the main restaurant serves an abundance of food. Inconvenient Towel System: Beach towels are only available from the spa centre, at least a 10-minute walk from the pools and beach — highly inconvenient for a resort of this size. Weak Entertainment: The evening show is extremely poor — lasting just 40 minutes and of very low quality. I’ve genuinely seen stronger programmes in some 3-star hotels. Final Thoughts The resort does have some strong points — a large territory, several pools, beachfront location, and generous amounts of fish and seafood. However, the overall experience is badly undermined by worn-out facilities, uncomfortable rooms, unprofessional staff, weak entertainment, and uninspired food. If you plan to spend most of your time outdoors and can tolerate a very basic level of comfort, you might still enjoy your stay here — but set your expectations realistically.
