Excellence Oyster Bay

Great food stunning beaches and a view from our room to die for. This was a seconf trip and the staff I encountered was nothing shy of amazing. See you soon jamrock.

I cannot have gluten. The restaurants and servers were the best part of the trip. I had no trouble eating a large variety of GF foods & had no reactions while I was there. The lighting in the rooms is awful. We had no TV all week. They were out of everything, everywhere. At least 1 thing was "out" at each bar/restaurant. I got a UTI & nurse could not treat. Ended with $1,100.00 hospital trip that could have been totally avoided & handled on site. I do not think I will ever return to Jamaica because of this blatant theft of my time and money. Room cooler wasn't working. Bath sink didn't drain. No one came to address either one. Overall, the property was nice, clean but could use a lot more daily activities & all stations to be fully stocked. It was annoying to choose the restaurant you wanted to go to & find they were out of what you intended to order.

We loved our time at Oyster Bay, the water was absolutely incredible and loved hanging by the Cabana beds looking at the beautiful water. The weather was great, great service, food was very good! Enjoyed Aroma for morning coffee and pastries and grabbing lunch from the Jerk Hut by the pool!! Carribean Grove had some amazing food!! Great service, the tree frogs at night were a bit of a sound issue but white noise cleared some of it. Kayaking and paddle boarding was great experience. While paddle boarding, I fell (it’s not as easy as it looks!) and lost my sunglasses in some of the grassy spots in water. I figured the were gone, and went about the day. But the guys at water sports found them as they went to look for them! Shout out to Vincent and team in water sports area. The scuba instructor from Simpson Sports was a huge help in locating. Great service, great weather, great food, amazing views, this place truly cares about the experience for their guests and love their country.

Dear Excellence Oyster Bay Management, Updated 3/9/2026 I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent stay at Excellence Oyster Bay from May 20th through May 23rd. As frequent international travelers, my wife and I only stay in five-star luxury resorts, and we were genuinely excited about the opportunity to experience the highly regarded service your property is known for. While there were certainly enjoyable aspects of our visit, several service and facility issues unfortunately fell short of the expectations we had for a resort of this caliber. Our trip began on a very positive note upon arriving in Jamaica. We were warmly welcomed by a driver who picked us up in a white Mercedes Benz and played wonderful reggae music during the ride. He made us feel comfortable and excited about the experience ahead, setting a great tone for the beginning of our stay. Upon arrival at the resort, however, we encountered some concerns. During check-in, although we were second in line, the process was delayed because the staff member assisting us appeared to be engaged in a personal phone conversation. This moment felt surprising, particularly given the level of professionalism we expected from a five-star property. When it came time to be escorted to our room, the bell attendant assisted another guest’s luggage first and asked us to carry our own bags, even though we were staying in the Excellence Club, which promotes enhanced service. This left us feeling somewhat overlooked. Our room itself was comfortable overall, but we noticed an issue with the plunge pool. It appeared to have been repainted in a way that caused the surface paint to bubble and form raised spots, which unfortunately made the pool unusable for us and detracted from the experience. We also experienced some confusion regarding room readiness. We were asked to wait for our room, but when we entered, the room was very cold and the ice in the champagne bucket had already melted, suggesting that it may have been ready for some time before we were notified. The following day, when we went to spend time at the pool, we were informed that towels were unavailable for approximately 45 minutes because they were being cleaned. While we eventually received towels, it was not from the pool attendant who initially assured us he would bring them. Another inconvenience occurred when my room key stopped working. We had to walk to the concierge office to resolve the issue, which was particularly difficult at that moment as I urgently needed to use the restroom. Additionally, while walking along the boardwalk during our stay, we noticed several broken planks and protruding nails, which raised some safety concerns. On the morning of our departure, we were informed that a bell attendant would pick up our luggage and transport us to checkout at 11:00 a.m. When no one arrived by 11:30, and after multiple calls, we were eventually told that we would need to walk to checkout ourselves. During this time we observed other guests being transported, which added to our confusion, especially since we were part of the Excellence Club. At reception, the staff member attempted to contact our driver but was unable to reach him and then advised that we walk to the front entrance of the resort to meet our transportation. When I expressed concern about this, the response we received felt somewhat dismissive, which was disappointing at the conclusion of our stay. While we did enjoy certain elements of our visit, these experiences collectively impacted what we had hoped would be a seamless and memorable stay. Excellence Oyster Bay is promoted as a five-star resort, and as guests who exclusively choose five-star luxury properties, we had looked forward to experiencing the level of service that reputation represents. I share this feedback with the hope that it will be helpful in improving future guest experiences. We truly wanted our stay to reflect the exceptional standards your resort is known for, and I remain hopeful that Excellence Oyster Bay will continue working toward delivering the outstanding service many travelers expect. We spent 7 nights at Excellence Oyster Bay, and our stay was relaxing, fun, and everything you would want at an all inclusive. The food was great at every restaurant, the drinks were delicious, and the we hardly ever had a wait at any restaurant. The beach was nice and relaxing, but the best part was Brandon who was our concierge at the Excellence Beach. He was attentive, friendly, always willing to try to make us as comfortable as possible! Kudos to him!
