Our experience at this hotel was, unfortunately, very disappointing from start to finish. We had planned a surprise for my dad and coordinated with the hotel to help decorate the room, but when we arrived, the front desk was a complete disaster. The room wasn’t even ready, which was frustrating since we had communicated our plans in advance. As a member of the Fiesta Americana Vacation Club, I expected at least a decent level of service, but it was nowhere near that. The next day, we spent over an hour at a beach cabana without anyone offering us a drink or food. The service was non-existent. The spa was another letdown. While the staff was exceptional, the facilities and equipment at the spa were extremely basic. My mani-pedi experience was nowhere near what I expected for a resort of this caliber. The food was another disappointment — it was very basic and lacked any special touch you’d expect from a resort. Little to no protein options at the buffet and you have birds trying to steal your food from breakfast to lunch. Overall, the only redeeming factor was Regina from the entertainment team, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and engaged. I hope the management takes these issues seriously because the potential is there, but the current state of service and amenities is far below acceptable standards.
