I had an extremely disappointing experience with both Agoda and Fortune Pearl Hotel. I booked the hotel through Agoda for what I believed was a check-in date of 14th November 2024, but I received a confirmation email with a check-in date of 13th November 2024. This is clearly a technical issue on Agoda’s website because it is not possible to book a hotel for a past date. When I contacted both Agoda and the hotel to resolve this issue, they refused to provide any refund or accommodate a date change. Instead, they charged me for a date I couldn’t possibly check in. It’s shocking to see such a lack of accountability from both parties. Agoda’s platform should ensure accurate bookings, and Fortune Pearl Hotel should be more understanding of such errors. Instead, I lost my entire payment due to their inflexibility and lack of customer support. This was a complete waste of money, and I will never book with Agoda or stay at Fortune Pearl Hotel again. I strongly recommend others to avoid this hassle.
