Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita

Although the main hotel is currently closed for refurbishments, the beach bar on Ile aux Cerf (La Plaz Beach Grill) is still open and serving food and drinks for day trippers and I suspect golfers. Not that we saw anyone with plus fours and golf clubs. In fact we only saw two other people on the beach the whole time. We only visited this little piece of paradise for a few hours on a day trip and we were so delighted that we did. The service from Vishal and the crew was exceptional.. super friendly and so attentive (even down to polishing our sun glasses while we soaked up the sun and sunk cocktails). The head barman made the most delicious cocktails (the best pina colada ever with mango - go figure). We ate lunch with our feet in the sand whilst taking in the views of the white sand and turquoise water. I had the fish curry, which was possibly the best fish curry I had ever tasted, and Mr Mc had the octopus salad. We presume that when the main hotel is open, this place is a lot busier. So if you’re on the east side of Mauritius before it reopens in October, I would highly recommend a visit. To get there we grabbed a sea taxi from a local jetty and landed on the beach just before lunch. *tip: I believe there is a shuttle service from Pointe Maurice (google the island and you’ll find info on here, however if you put Pointe Maurice in a sat nav app it’s not overly clear where it is). As you drive along the coast road you’ll see signs for passenger ferry, but I don’t think this is the ferry mentioned on the website (maybe locals chancing a money making scheme). That being said, we got there in once piece and was returned in one piece so can’t complain. (Cost:1000pp return). Probably could have haggled but that’s not our style. And we went on to drink cocktails and each lunch at the four seasons beach bar, so what’s the point in haggling for a few pounds when that was going to be lumpy (but so very worth it). Once you step off the boat, head to the other side of the island and either walk (right) along the shore line or head through the pine trees following the golf course. You’ll find it at the end of the beach.

I actually stayed here in December 2023, and I must say what a wonderful experience. The resort was gorgeous (of course), the rooms were well kept, the food at the individual restaurants (specifically the Italian, the Steakhouse, and the Asian) was phenomenal. The staff, oh the the staff made it the extra mile, specifically our butler Priyanka, as well as the wonderful waiter at breakfast Govind, and the general manager at the time; some of the best service from those two that I have ever experienced at a hotel. I went sailing for the first time in years with my brother; and the instructors that were there were so helpful and taught us all we needed to know in one day ! The next day we were ready to sail on our own ! (They literally taught us the ropes). A wonderful Christmas stay !

Pure luxury! The entire resort is stunning, and so well thought out. We had a lovely view from our room of the sea, and bikes which we rode around the resort. Plenty of quite beach options for peace as adults. Variety of restaurants onsite, all were amazing. They have a boat which goes to a local island which is really helpful. Breakfast is lovely, and the resort is so big with enough to do, we only rode across to the golf course otherwise we were very content on the resort. Would highly recommend! All the staff were fantastic, and the buggy system from the rooms was so nice so we didnt have to walk a long way to dinner

Absolutely perfect recommend to anyone who wants a luxury experience in paradise! The staff were lovely and the Villa was exceptional. I couldn't have asked her anything more and we will definitely come back! I would recommend the Italian restaurant the food was perfect and the focaccia bread was the best I've had

I could not say enough positive words about this breathtaking hotel. From the place and position, the architecture and villas (which are by the way amaaaazing - we had a beach villa - i highly recommend :) Before we even booked the trip we were concerend about the food (we live in Milan:) but let me tell you - was the best food we could have ever immagine. Our special place in heart has the restaurant called Lazy Fish. The food and attention you get is just princess treatment, and have to underline one very special person Sachin who made our stay unique with the romantic table set up right on the beach. Truly such a goodheart person and he makes sure everything runs smoothly. The stuff of this hotel feels like a family even just after a day of stay. Hotel will be under reconstruction from March till November but honestly i cannot wait to come back here because this is what the true relax and vacation means. The best energy and only good vibes.
