Extremely nice trip

This is a beautiful property. Many of the cottages have had great renovations. It was very comfortable and quiet. We had a large ocean front cottage which has a beautiful view and sunsets from the porch. The pool area is very nice. A short golf cart ride gets you to the beach which is absolutely beautiful. Staff will set up chairs and umbrella. Use the pool and the beach based on which way the wind blows. There are too many people to mention, but, Krissy and Tashaundra made all of our arrangements and were delightful to work with. Wasipha is the GM and she along with Kristine the regional GM are very nice and ready to meet any needs. Anjanika the F&B Mgr also took very good care of us. Ask for John for a car rental and Spence for a cab. Every single staff we saw was so happy, pleasant and eager to help. Not typical Bahama style. The resort is very close to the Governor’s Harbour airport which makes it convenient. Drive the island, the pot holes are big but it’s worth it. The resort food is very good but ask Krissy for suggestions when you go off site. This trip was for a very special birthday for my wife and the entire staff made it memorable. Thanks to all and we will be back.

Exceptional vacation!

The location is incredible, with views of the Caribbean and a short golf cart ride (in your personal golf cart) to the pink sand beaches on the Atlantic side. The food is good, and many meals are exceptional. Service sets the resort apart from any other we’ve been to. Krissy and Corell were amazing both at checking us in and attending to any need that arose while we were there. They went above and beyond to ensure we had anything we needed. The bartenders and servers, especially Nicole and Shantae, provided service beyond our expectations - amazing cocktails and wonderful conversation. The manager Rudy personally managed our private dinner on the dock (which we highly recommend!) and it was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a very quiet vacation with exceptional service and pristine beaches.

Relaxing vacation to a warm, friendly island

A wonderful trip to Eleuthera with breathtaking views from our room, the pool and restaurant. The golf cart rides to the secluded beach were a hit with us. We enjoyed all of our meals at the restaurant, especially the lobster appetizer and catch of the day. We received a warm welcoming and attentive service throughout our stay.

Overrated property that needs a major upgrade

I have no idea why this property has so many great reviews. We are loyal to Marriott Bonvoy and this was a huge disappointment! We stayed here at the end of February. The pros are that the staff are incredibly friendly and the sunsets are beautiful. The cons are endless. Dirty furniture and window treatments in the villa. Outdated furniture. Rust in hot tub. Not all treadmills worked. Horrible system for launching kayaks and paddle boards into the water. The road to the beach is in major need of repair. The beach chairs are piled in a mangled mess and the beach is not clean. The food is outrageously expensive. Bonvoy Platinum members don’t really get breakfast for two. You still pay for coffee, tea and bottled water and it was not cheap. Have to pay for THE BUGS ARE HORRIBLE. It is very overpriced and the points redemption is very inflated. Go stay at a Ritz or a St.Regis for the same price and/or same points value and you will get much more for your money. I would never recommend this property.

Perfect Family Spot

I wanted to go back and write this review. My husband is lifetime titanium and they gave us an upgrade so we had two connecting rooms and a pool that was private for us. The resort provides a golf cart so you can drive to the French leave beach across the road. Be aware the road is ill maintained and full of bumps. The beach is lovely and the resort staff will bring you chairs and towels in the evening you may be the only person on that beach which is true luxury. We found the food at the resort mediocre but service was great. In general the food at the island establishments we tried was average. Eleuthera is not commercialized so don’t expect lots of shopping areas which is actually what makes it so alluring. Also remember this resort is an hour drive from the airport so a rental car is a must.
