We’re just coming to the end of a beautiful week at this gorgeous hotel. The staff are unbelievable friendly, smiley and helpful and I mean every single one of them. The rooms are cosy but wonderfully clean and cleaned every day, every other day in the evening they come round to check everything is ok and if you need everything else like clean towels for the pool. The restaurant is delightful, this is a small hotel and reasonable inexpensive so what you get is really good value for money, there is plenty of choices, the food is tasty and fresh, someone had written they thought the food could be warmer, in my experience buffet food rarely is hot, but they do provide microwaves and they are not hard to turn on, the staff in the restaurant are so helpful and friendly and make it a lovely experience. The pool and bar are next to the beach and there is a gorgeous family feel about it. Beautiful views and atmosphere. We have loved our stay and can’t think of a single bad thing to say about this absolutely charming hotel. Thank you all at the Galaxy Hotel Mr & Mrs Woodhouse 😊

5 star tourist tax for 3.5 star accommodation

The hotel is in a beautiful location, it is very clean and the staff friendly, however the room was small and the shower room tiny, food was cold and had to be microwaved and the mixers for drinks are not pleasant. In the second week of May, only the pool bar was open even though the other 2 bars are advertised as being open from 1st May. Although, in my opinion, this hotel is 3.5 - 4 star the Greek government have designated it as 5 star, which means you have to pay a tax of 15 Euros per room per night which is something to be aware of if you are visiting anywhere in Greece.

Relaxing time had but needed some tweaks

Went as a couple late season and had a nice relaxing week. The hotel itself was nice, few things in the room that could’ve been tweaked to make it even better. Beds weren’t the most comfortable neither were pillows and the bathroom needed a good bleaching in places. Other than that rooms cleaned everyday, towels changed too. We stayed bed and breakfast, breakfast was average, plenty of choices but the hot breakfast wasn’t very hot, plates were in warmers but never switched on which didn’t make sense so when already luke warm food was put on the plate it went cold very quick! Only thing that was always hot was the baked beans. Laganas itself is a bit of a tip, couldn’t believe the amount of rubbish laying around, bags of uncollected rubbish outside now closed venues. Plastic bottles and glasses strewn on the tide line of the beach! For a beach that hosts loggerhead turtles for nesting it does not paint a great picture of the community caring for these creatures one bit. Highlight of our stay was renting a boat and doing a trip to the keri caves which were absolutely beautiful. If I came back to Zakynthos I would definately try another part of the island, Laganas needs a huge tidy up! Galaxy beach resort was a three star at best imo

Family friendly, perfect views, beach

I have just spent the week with my two children at this resort and we had a great time. There is enough for the children to do, clean pool, pool tables, trampoline and bouncy castle, the hotel is right on the beach with amazing views from the bar. The room was cleaned regularly and spotless and so was the whole hotel. There is so much food even if we went in towards the end of meal times. Plenty of refreshments in between. The staff were all hard working, friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange a tour and booked taxi's for Zante town. We went in Oct as any resort in summer holidays are crammed and busy. It was a relaxed calm vibe, always managed to have a sunbed. All inclusive drinks in family resorts in my experience arnt the best but thats the same where ever we have gone before. Was happy to buy the odd diet coke and top brand gin and tonic, the wines were good enough and cocktails. Short walk to the main strip with restaurants, it is nearing the end of season but a few lovely restaurants open when we fancied a change. Absolutely loved it would definately come back again. Thank you to all the hard working staff at the resort 😊

The food is horrendous. We are not picky but when you ask the chef to fill the trays of food 45 mins before the end of dinner and he just removes the sign and doesn’t care it’s quite disappointing. There is very limited choice. We asked the chef on several occasions to “refresh it” a little bit but not much happened. It feels like they are laughing in your face. Asked for late check out on Wednesday, leaving on Saturday and been told to come 24 hours in advance. So we did and the receptionists told us to come and ask 1 HOUR before the check out to see if we can keep the room or not?!? What the….?!?!the hospitality and reception service was beyond disappointment , the cleanliness of the rooms was superb and the bar staff lovely which I don’t think the hotel manager can take the credit for.
