The excellent Garden Of Sun Hotel is ideally situated in the popular holiday resort of Didim on the west coast of Turkey. The sandy beach and the warm waters of the Aegean Sea are less than a 5-minute walk away. The resort centre with its restaurants, bars, cafés and shops can be reached within a short stroll and the historical Temple of Apollon is within walking distance. The antique city of Miletos is about 25 km away. The comfortable rooms of the family-friendly hotel all offer sea, mountain or garden views. GARDEN OF HELL (although might have a best experience in hell)

If I could do a 0 star review I would. If you care about your loved ones I would stay away. This is hands down the worse hotel we have ever been to and you couldn't pay me to visit this hell hole again. They are sexist! Even though I booked the holiday I was told as I am with my husband and he is the 'man' they would only speak to him. Felt like women's rights had been taken back a century! When we raised concerns with the reception they asked us to leave the hotel! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Housekeeping issues: 1. Cigarette butts under bed 2. Never cleaned 3. Sheets never changed 4. Exposed wiring from headboard that was broken and coming apart from the wall 5. Mold all over the walls 6. Wardrobe broke Food issues: 1. Uncooked meat 2. Cross contamination when handling raw and cooked meat on the outside bbq 3. Uncleaned bbq in the morning attracting vermin 4. Cooking food inside without gloves 5. No food is labelled 6. None of the sides are cleaned down 7. Not enough cutlery to pick up food forcing guests to handle with their hands 8. Breakfast starts at 7am but eggs don’t start until after 8am! Both my husband and my kids had food poisoning. When your 18 month old twins are throwing up and ill it brings a new kind of anger in you!!

This hotel is not 5star no way… rooms were not cleaned daily I had to tell receptionist not been cleaned… towels are not changed daily either… food selection is very poor for English.. not all the sections were used with options half the restaurant was empty…. Staff didn’t under English very well… inside hotel needs a shake up… pool area lovely pool bar staff really kind and cannot fault.. guy out there every morning putting out the sun beds worked very hard…we paid all inclusive yet found it really hard to eat.. eggs for breakfast every day then at lunch chips if they weren’t overcooked and mouthful of chicken then same for dinner…ice creams served for 1 hour a day only yet the 7 days we was there 4 days none was served….2star restaurant

Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because some of the staff were great. Otherwise, you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Our room (A105), which was filthy, was directly above the kitchen and the noise was horrendous from 5am until midnight. The beds were that uncomfortable, I looked forward to a lie down on the sun loungers in the daytime! There was no safe in the room, the TV didn’t work, mould on the wall around the AC unit had been painted over, the toilet was leaking water into the pan all day and night, and the hot water tap was a trickle at best; it was like a Turkish Faulty Towers. The food wasn’t great. We ate twice from the buffet, and one from the pool snack bar, but my wife got an upset stomach so we ate out every night after that and had some pancakes for breakfast. As for Didim, beautiful place. We will definitely go back one day I’m not one for leaving scathing reviews, and my wife and I still had a great time, but you will be disappointed if you go there and expect a 5 star experience. Shame on Love Holidays for advertising it as that.

Garden of sun, I think you will appreciate that our standard of 5 star in England is not replicated in turkey, this hotel is our 2/3 star .. it’s situated in a beautiful area, plenty to see and do and a great base to see the area .. however the hotel !! The staff as a whole are pretty miserable to be honest, no friendly smiles, especially in the restaurant you felt a bit like a nuisance, the odd staff member was lovely, the older man doing the sun beds every day was the most hard worker we saw all holiday.. big shout out to him, as poolside was amazing due to him 🙌🏼 1….Housekeeping is horrendous, tbh the beds are made and sheets clean and fresh (ish) towels some smelt a little damp .. but this was our housekeeper, floor 3 .. not everyone got the beds bins and towels done 👎.. the bathrooms were minging. Limescale everywhere, toilet didn’t flush properly, all taps and stainless steel dirty, attention to detail is definitely needed.. skirting boards floor edges thick with dust .. 2.. food if your a fussy Brit not willing to try other food don’t go here .. typically Turkish food there was always something to eat if your willing to try .. BUT .. the food was luke warm to cold I heated everything up in the microwave and still has a dodgy tummy 3 separate occasions, even the bbq stuff wasn’t good.. salads are good though But the flies In the restaurant and around the food was an absolute nightmare,never been anywhere with this many flies in food areas . 3.. bar ..only drinks on all inclusive are vodka, whiskey, gin, red n white wine they have 4 cocktails but not your usual ones, any other drinks you can BUY but are not cheap .. 4..hotel shop .. be aware they make up there own prices .. 1 day you can pay 50tl for a can of Coke the next day it’s 300tl for same thing .. be aware of this at restaurants too if no prices on menu don’t go in .. security are friendly and the hotel dog arti is beautiful The hotel like most of turkey does have an issue with cats that even go in the restaurant I would definitely recommend the area but unless the hotel cleans up its act and updates its rooms I’d definitely recommend you go elsewhere

Holiday from hell went with my son and grandson NEVER AGAIN vile hotel absolutely filthy food was vile and lots of flys all in restaurant , rooms were filthy and smelt of sewage mattresses were ripped worst holiday I’ve ever been on NO WAY this hotel is 5 stars hotel
