Gennadi Grand Resort

Lovely hotel, excellent service, modern and lavish decor, seamless check-in and check-out, well-organised gym (max. 6 people at a time), delicious food, live violin or piano music at breakfast, half-empty infinity swimming pools. And yes, hats off to the Wet Bar guys! What a team! Incredibly fast, efficient and friendly, and always with a smile. We had a junior suite with a private pool, the room was spacious and clean... The only reason why I am not grading my overall experience as 'excellent' is that the beach is surrounded by monstrous heaps of concrete slabs (probably from demolition works in the past; the mere sight of them was saddening). The resort has a mini shop which sells almost everything at very reasonable prices (open from 08:00 until 22:30, at least when we were there).

This place really is something special - we loved it so much we came back for a second visit! From the gorgeous food and spotlessly clean spaces to the genuinely kind staff everywhere, it always feels welcoming and relaxed. A special mention for Panagiotis Pytiropolous (Director of Food & Beverage), who not only remembered us from last year but could probably spot a former guest at fifty paces - now that’s service with superhero-level recall! Packed with energy and quick wit, Panagiotis runs the show in style in a seriously sharp suit, and a one-liner is always at the ready. If you hear laughter from across the room, just follow the sound - you’ve found him! We also want to thank everyone at the Grill, Ouzo, and Grevin Bar. The manager at Ouzo, in particular, always greeted us with a great wine recommendation, including a fantastic bottle from Santorini. Friendly, attentive service made each meal a real highlight of our stay. We honestly planned to sample the nightlife in Gennad one night at least, but let’s be real - when the on-site restaurants are that good (even after 10 nights!) you stick with a sure thing. Why risk leaving when you have a Greek feast, a buffet, and a grill right at your doorstep? And huge applause for the amazing lady running the beach bar - somehow she manages to serve up drinks with a mega-watt smile, no matter how many sun-kissed guests descend with thirsty requests. As for the surroundings? It’s the complete package: sleek lines, stylishly modern furniture, and a vibe that says, “Yes, you’re spending your hard-earned holiday money—and we want you to feel it was worth every penny.”

Warm and friendly staf all the way from checkin through the ongoing daily service. The food is excelent the hotel is designed in a way that you don't feel too crouded. The pools are huge and the general atmosphere is relaxing. The team was so nice to upgrade us from junior suit to a 2 bedrooms suit with private pool - perfect for 3. We highly reccomend this fine resort.
