Lovely hotel where all rooms are suites so lots of room for a couple. Lovely big balconies and plenty of products provided in the rooms. I liked that you couldn’t get a sun bed until 9.30 am. It stopped the mad rush early morning . Easy to book the tennis and parcel courts on the app. Not many sunbeds near the water park so didn’t spend long there . Only had bed and breakfast which was very nice but always seemed a problem ordering drinks. Staff didn’t seem to want to get them for you. Other staff seemed to be helpful. Very easy to order food to your sunbed at lunch time via the app Don’t think it’s a hotel just for couples. We were there with my son and his family. Plenty of restaurants nearby to eat out on an evening

5 star holiday

We stayed at the GF VICTORIA in Tenerife for a week on June 2nd and tonight is our last night / and all I can say is wow from start to finish this hotel and the staff are all first class . It has everything you could ever want and more plus has all the bits extra that makes it the perfect holiday. The gym has been newly updated I believe and I spent a fair bit of time in it and it was fantastic- we stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast had everything- it was the best breakfast we’ve had ! The pool , slides , surf machine, climbing walls tree house climbing, and driving simulators downstairs all leave any kids fully entertained if needed the staff do a excellent job - also games and activities all day too so never a dull moment - we never watched any shows because we went out at night but I heard they was at a good standard from other guests. The bars in gf Victoria were decent- upstairs looked amazing with the infinity pool and bar but we had a young en so we couldn’t go in . All the staff were so polite and friendly and the house keeping staff and all the cleaning team keep this place spotless- my wife had a back massage and said it was the best she’s ever had - so good she had 2! Honestly if you have booked a holiday here you won’t regret it - it’s close by to everything shops restaurants retail park - and we will be back at this magnificent 5 star hotel !

Very nice but not for couples.

Having to change our Hotel 5 days before traveling due to extensive maintenance work at our hotel we paid extra to move to the GF Victoria. Our choices were limited as we had already booked airport hotels and carpark. Arriving back after a two week stay at the very nice GF Victoria in Tenerife, we now realise that this hotel is mainly for families with children if you are a couple wanting a peaceful relaxing time with a pool to swim in or just relax in then this hotel is not for you, TUI should have known this and made this clear when changing our booking. However as a hotel let me say that the food is probably the best buffet style restaurant I've stayed in, there is so much choice, with many taste options, the chef's and staff are also fantastic and very helpful. The rooms are great, clean, ( other than the odd cockroachs) and very well equipped, and in general this hotel is very nice. If as I've said, if you have children then brilliant there is so much to do, water park, children's pool, a very well equipped and I mean very well equipped lower floor with just everything you would possibly need to keep children entertained of all ages plus the evening entertainment is mainly based around family and children. My major concern and disappointment was that the hotel makes it clear that children and families come first, they do not make allowance for just adults / couples without children other than an area within the restaurant just for adults and a sky bar for evening drinks, which is really only until 10.30 when the music is turned off. There is a 1.4m deep pool which states for swimming but this is also taken over by children and families so you are definitely not swimming or relaxing in or around that pool, which I find very disappointing as there is a dedicated large children's pool and water park. This leaves adults with nowhere to go other than a 7th floor nudist area? And a overhanging small pool on the 5th floor in the sky bar which has no real place for sun bathing and is basicly a show area which look impressive from the outside but not used by anybody other than for that photo opportunity. If this hotel wants to attract more adult none family customers then it really does need a dedicated adults only pool area because at the moment especially in high season it's absolutely pointless staying at this hotel if you want a bit of peace, quiet and a relaxing time. To conclude this hotel is all about families and children unless you want to go nude on the 7th floor, which I find very bizarre as a family hotel ... or you pay extra to use the spar facilities, and TUI could have done better by highlighting this hotel is mainly for families ..... and as a family you will not be disappointed.

Stayed at the GF Victoria in may could use some improvement but overall would return! Not sure if I would rate this as 5* as it falls slightly short when it comes to service! Although I did stay at the royal river 2 months prior to this which was insane so maybe I had my expectations too high, Facility’s wise it would be hard to beat for family’s! My only problem with this hotel was the waiter’s particularly at the buffet on an evening we were a family of 5 and we would not get any drinks service at all some nights unless I pulled the waiter for service which then when I did manage to get their attention drinks would not arrive until we had finished our desserts which at that point we didn’t want the drinks we were ready to leave! Had a few arguments with them whilst I was there due to them bringing out the wrong drinks ect, one night we received our drinks and we was minus 2x vodka so I asked the waiter if they were coming out and they tried to charge me a second time for them and argued against me saying we must have received them. Breakfast was usually a lot better as they ask you for your drinks order when they seat you, although the last day we had similar service ordered drinks which never arrived by this point I was too tired to argue with them so ate my breakfast and went and ordered my coffee from the main bar It’s a real shame really because had it not been for our terrible service at dinner I would have probably marked it 5 stars but I got the feeling the staff had no idea what they were doing they all seemed pretty clueless and English language wasn’t their forte so was difficult to communicate! On the plus side one of the waiters Juan was a star and always went above and beyond! After we had the terrible service at buffet we decided to use the amania restaurant instead which had brilliant service and lovely food! The chateaubriand Was beautiful and reminded me of more of a 5* hotel! We stayed in the harmony suit the room itself was Huge and cleaned every day to a high standard we received chocolates daily and bottled water. And free late checkout ect. The hotel is very clean and well looked after, our kids loved the pool and the facility’s the entertainment is also pretty decent! We will most likely return and hope the next time the dinner time issues are resolved! My rating on the hotel would be a 4* Plus!

Amazing holiday

We had a wonderful stay at the GF Victoria, beautiful hotel. Lots of activities for the children, even though our kids just spent most the time in the family pool. We did enjoy the slides area but they do hurt your bottom coming down as the joins are rough. The surfing, great fun! And the instructor was brilliant. Rooms are kept clean every day and well stocked with toiletries and water. Wi-fi was good around the whole hotel. The hotel was full, so there was a race to sun beds every morning but it’s school holidays so to be expected. Clean pool towels whenever you want to change them by the pool. The staff at reception area were great, the waiting staff by the pool… not so friendly, did get ignored a number of times. Pool entertainment was good, inflatable, water carpet, workouts, games. The evening entertainment was in an uninspiring bland basement room, why? We didn’t bother again after the first night. We done B&B, lots of restaurants locally to choose from, we would’ve tried the evening buffet but 150€ for a family of 4 is too expensive. When you leave double check your bill, someone had put a lunch bill onto our room. Overall we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend to families.
