All inclusive not quite as all inclusive anymore

Facilities, setting, staff and food all fabulous. We have been coming here for around 10 years as a group of 8 golfers and it’s always been consistent. However we are disappointed this year as they have now introduced a “cover charge” for the two a La carte restaurants (20 and 25 euros per person), despite us booking and paying for our “all inclusive” before this change. One of the things we’ve always enjoyed is the fact we get 2 a La carte evenings includes ( even though the food in the main buffet is amazing). The managers weren’t at all interested in our view that this was not made clear to us and when we booked the holiday this wasn’t the basis. Although we’ve loved it here, with so many other hotels in the area we will probably look around at other options for next year which is a shame. A few other minor cut backs this year too (no fabric napkins, no singers in the main bar after dinner). It is a great hotel overall, but the addition of the cover charge needs to be more explicit and it’s disappointing that the managers can’t apply some discretion when bookings were made before this, it just leaves a slightly bitter taste on what otherwise is a great place.

Latest Golf Trip

Usual annual golf trip to Turkey and stayed in the Gloria Verde this time ( have stayed in the Gloria golf before) Bit smaller but still excellent for what we want. Lively grounds/well set out/plenty to do and good and drink excellent with superb choices of all including premium spirits if you drink them. Golf courses both good/pace of play excellent and both in great condition for late April. Rooms good enough too. Only small grip is could do with better facilities to watch live sport as little by way of big screens in the hotel which is useful for groups of males. Also, food choice and service better at the hotel than at the golf course although the latter is also included in the all-inclusive package which is great if you want a beer/sandwich whilst golfing. Staff all very pleasant and lovely outdoor setting for eating—what is not to like!!

Start to finish, we were made to feel most welcome. From our wonderful introduction brief from Parastoo right through to housekeeping, front and back of house hospitality, it could not be faulted. One piece of feedback - more TVs required to show sporting events. As it’s golf season, there were lots of sports fans, but unfortunately not enough TVs to screen them.

Superb Hotel and staff

Just had another fantastic stay at Gloria Verde The hotel is one of the smaller hotels in Belek but this helps to add to the whole charm of the hotel. The Jet2 rep actually told me that this hotel has the best food of any hotel in Belek. Quite a statement but I actually believe this to be true, as the food is simply outstanding and this is what sets the hotel apart from the rest. Couple this with absolutely excellent staff that cannot do enough for you and now you start to get a picture as to why I have returned so many times. The staff really are a credit to the hotel, always so helpful and happy The two Ala carte restaurants are also outstanding and worth every penny of the supplement to pay. Both were outstanding and it’s hard to choose which is the best. Again the service received was truly first class. We spent a lot out time on the pier which has a fully stocked bar, and is spotless . It’s great that there are so many cleaners around the hotel at all times and the public areas are always spotless as are the toilets everywhere. Special mentions to Yassin the GM always taking time to walk around the hotel and checking everything is in order and asking if everything’s ok. Elif who organised our room for us which was beautiful and a slight sea view too. It was a lovely spacious room with lots of windows and light. She was again always asking if everything was ok. Thank you Elif for everything, it was really appreciated. Thank you to Merve too.
