Another fantastic stay

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had another brilliant stay at Gold by Marina in Gran Canaria, honestly one of our favourite places to come back to. The breakfast was exceptionally good, loads of choice and really high quality. We even mentioned on our last visit that it would be great to have baked beans available every day… and this time they actually were! Such a small thing but it really shows they listen to their guests. The sun lounging areas are lovely and relaxing, and the sauna was a real highlight, especially with the weather not being the best this time. Despite the rain, we still had a really fun holiday thanks to the hotel’s facilities and atmosphere. All of the staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The room was modern and well-equipped, with a great TV setup that let us watch Netflix in the evenings, which was a nice touch. The location is also perfect, close to everything but still feels calm and comfortable. One thing worth mentioning, Andrej my true love, had a bit of a nasty fall when it was raining, as some of the floors became very slippery. The staff were absolutely fantastic in supporting us, and we’re really grateful for how they handled everything. The local hospital also treated him incredibly quickly and professionally, which was reassuring. It might be worth the hotel considering additional anti-slip measures in some areas to help prevent future accidents. Also highly recommend using the hotel taxi service, same price as a regular taxi but much nicer cars and very friendly drivers. Overall, a fantastic stay again — we’ll definitely be bac

What can we say about this hotel that hasn’t already been said. It usually takes me a bit of thought before giving a 5 rating but in all honesty I’d give more if it was allowed . By day-2 we were saying to each other that this is the only hotel we’ll stay in when we come to Gran Canaria. Where does the hotel get their staff? Every single member of staff we met was upbeat, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. Room was lovely and the room cleaning and service by Diana was excellent. Breakfast was the best I remember - normally by day 3 or 4 in a hotel I am passing on breakfast and finding somewhere outside but not here. Fresh orange juice & egg/omelette stations were great touches and everything else freshly prepared and good. Doing breakfast until midday is a rare but excellent service. Love the hotel - stay here and try it! We racked our brains for constructive feedback and the only very very minor thing we came up with was it would be useful to have a sign in the lift what floor everything is on - when that it the only thing you can think of you can tell the hotel is a winner!

We arrived last Thurs approx 2pm and the room was available immediately which i thought was really good. Welcomed on reception by two lovely ladies and offered a cold glass of prosecco which was a nice touch and went down well :) Our room was on the 4th floor, south facing.. Room was clean and boujee, not sure if i liked it or not haha. Nothing was wrong at all just individual tastes i guess, bed was comfy though. Breakfast was not great if im honest, its a small room and with all the tables and food areas not a lot of room to walk about, there was also a wait for fresh eggs. i found the beans to be cold on more than 1 day. The pool area, a lot of people would put towels down and just go off for a few hours, now where these beds are located only so many have the sun early morning (10am) and these would have towels down on them, meaning people who wanted to sunbathe early had difficulties. we travelled as 4 adults and were asked by reception if we wanted tickets to the carnival on the sunday evening free. We took them up on this offer and have to say we really enjoyed the night, how those young women managed to pull those huge floats behind them (you had to be there to see this) was amazing. I would go back ,yes, as long as the price was right and maybe stay b&b as not a bad hotel overall.

Just had a weeks holiday here. Rated very highly on trip adviser so expected more. Most of the staff were very friendly especially the receptionist who booked us in. Hotel is spotlessly clean, and pool towels provided. However there were a few niggles which left us slightly dissapointed. Although the room was big the sink area and the toilet area were very small with a huge shower area - badly designed. Breakfast was pretty good but only 1 person was cooking all the eggs, omelettes, bacon, crepes etc so there were queues all the time. Not the girl's fault who were all lovely and working very hard. Pool areas good with plenty sunbeds, but a lot of shade. People would put towels down before breakfast. Reception said the lifeguard would sort it but he never did. No evening entertainment. Location was good. Overall we enjoyed it but expected more for a 4 star hotel.
