We stayed as a family of four in April 25. From the pictures, this hotel looks amazing. And to be honest, it’s presented really nicely too. It’s set in a hillside with stunning view (be prepared for lots of steps and steep climbs). The staff are great, friendly and very welcoming. But sadly this is where it stops! The rooms are spotlessly clean but be prepared for no hot running water at all. The rain shower fitting sent water everywhere in the shower but on my head. Broken unit under the sink and a plug that sticks so you can’t empty it, and a random selection of toiletries. Then there’s the towels…. frayed and stained with goodness knows what. Our last delivery was a lovely shade of green! The bunk beds in the room had bed bars that were held on with screws that were working their way out of chipboard. One good roll over and anyone sleeping in them would be definitely on the floor. The food in the restaurant is very limited as it’s so small. It was of a decent quality but fussy eaters may struggle. One morning I had a large lump of what looked like tin from an opened can in my food. Luckily I saw it just before I ate it. I pointed it out to the staff quietly as I didn’t want to make a scene for them but I received no apology or concern, just “Which food was it in?” Good luck with finding a spoon for coffee or dessert. Consider yourself lucky if you do! Drinks and snack bar are served in a little bar in the corner of the pool area. Drinks are ok but nothing special. The snack bar consists of cheese and ham rolls, bread, cake and left over breakfast reserved in a sauce. There’s no cutlery so you’ll have to eat pasta and the likes with fingers. There’s always lots of plates with left over food and empty plastic glasses left around the pool. Pool sunbeds are comfortable but take a couple of cleaning wipes with you as they are badly stained. Pool towels are available for €10 deposit per towel. They are very thin and poor quality. If you are prepared to put up and overlook these these things then it’s an ok hotel. I just feel that it’s got so much potential in a stunning location. With a bit more attention to detail, I would have given it a much better rating.
