A Lifestyle 4-star property in Dominican Republic, located in the center of La Ciudad Primada de América, the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. The 10.000 square feet terrace on the top of the building offers an incredible view of the surrounding Colonial City, Faro a Colón and the Juan Bosch bridge that connects the city to the Zona Oriental (Eastern City). Good location with free breakfast.

Hotel is close to everything with free breakfast. Jose hernandez st recepción was very helpfull. He goes beyond his duties to help customers. Breakfast Is a good one with frutas Coffee hambre and scramble eggs. Dar condición is good. Hotel locación is excelente. Clode to everything.

Stay away from this hotel. Terrible experience!

We stayed at the hotel (a couple with two small children) for one night after a long flight to Santo Domingo. Before we received the room, the hotel staff was already aware that there was a problem with the hot water in some of the rooms, but they did not bother to inform us. When we went to shower in the evening, we were surprised to find there was no hot water. When we approached the front desk, we were told that they were aware of the issue and were trying to fix it, but it remained unresolved throughout our entire stay. We were forced to shower in cold water. The receptionist promised that we wouldn’t be charged for the night and that the responsible manager would handle the matter in the morning. We left the hotel around 9:30 AM; unsurprisingly, the manager had not yet arrived. However, the shift supervisor spoke with us and promised that the issue was being handled and that we would receive an email that same day explaining how the refund would be processed. Three days later, we had yet to be contacted. Only after we reached out to the hotel again did we receive a surprising response stating that they had no intention of refunding us for the night, claiming that such issues are normal and acceptable. Despite repeated attempts to contact them again, we were completely ignored. We were left with no choice but to warn anyone considering staying at this hotel — don’t do it. We have never had such a bad experience anywhere we’ve stayed before. Highly not recommended!!!

pretty good option

We came here with a large group as part of a work trip. They had trouble finding our reservation, even when I showed a printed copy. It took several people quite a long time (45+ minutes) to figure it out. Then one of my colleagues was given an already occupied room. They moved her to a different room which had a broken air conditioner, so they eventually moved her to a third room. The rooms were fine. I was lucky to get a corner room with windows, but some of my colleagues got smaller windowless rooms. The bathroom was nice. The room had a very full minibar/fridge, a desk, and an iron. Breakfast was good. Every day had fruit and pastries, then the hot food changed daily- eggs, fried salami, fried cheese, mangu, boiled plantains, sausage. It's up on the covered, open-air rooftop. The location is fantastic- really easy to walk around the Zona Colonial. The street in front is narrow so if you're being dropped off by car, you either have to jump out quickly or pull around to their parking garage. The housekeepers were so sweet! They helped several of us with the very difficult-to-use air conditioners. Overall, not my favorite hotel but a solid choice if you have a large group.

Very bad experience

We booked Gran Hotel Europa to travel agency and everything was paid in advance when we arive today for our second stay they told us that they don't have room for us and they will send us to another hotel. Even they told us that they will send us to a very good hotel, the hotel was not in the same range. When we arive to the hotel they told us that we have to pay because Gran Hotel Europa will pay till monday. We refuse to do that and finally they give us a room at the hotel they send us. This is unaceptable.
