Stayed 7 nights in a deluxe room. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was good but the area is a bit strangely planned with small rooms and quite narrow which makes it feel crowded. I did not try any other meals at the hotel. There are 3 restaurants on the beach just by the hotel, massage places too. And there are 10+ restaurants on the street just outside. Also supermarket, massage places, ATM etc. The resort is narrow and long, if you live by the reception area it’s a fair walk to the beach. The breakfast are in the middle (see map in pictures). The resort and the surroundings are very green and well maintained. There is a lot of water in the resort but I really did miss a path to walk inside the hotel. To get to your room you have to walk on the outside. It’s a 15 min drive to Bang Niang. The hotel has a shuttle (see picture for times). Gym was OK.

Very good breakfast. Location is gorgeous. We really loved it. Acces to fire shows on the beach.

Grand Mercure Khao Lak Bangsak is the new resort scheduled to open in December 2020, situated on a secret stretch of Thailand’s Andaman Coast. It is a Thai tropical architect building surrounded by the floating canal throughout the resort. All rooms feature their own private terrace with a view of swimming pool or the canal and surrounded by tropical trees and water plants.
