Grand Palace Hotel Sanur - Bali

I want to give this hotel a 10* rating.We stayed 18 nights and i can honestly say we didnt have 1 complaint about the hotel or staff.On arrival i had made a nistale of booking a room without a balcony which i cant cope without outside space (my mistake) next day we decided we wanted a swimup pool room it wasnt available for a few days but until then we was put in a lovely room.It did cost extra but was so worth it the rooms are so big with amazingly comfy huge beds.The hotel and pool are kept so clean and the food is gorgeous didnt have any bad meals and the staff are so warm and friendly always happy to help and make your stay perfect.I read a lot of complaints about location but it was a 10 to 15 min walk to beach front or shopping areas or a £2 taxi ride if walking isnt for you.I would not hesitate un returning to this amazing hotel THANKS ALL FOR AN AMAZING STAY YOU ARE A CREDIT TO YOUR COMPANY 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Lovely big hotel on a main dual highway. Not walkable or safe to walk (potholes on footpath when there is one), with no restaurants or shopping close by. The courtesy bus leaves only twice a day at 9.30am and 4.30pm. Have to use taxies all the time to eat any where else except their on-site restaurant. We ate there once but they charged us 47% tax and service charge, so the meal was almost double price :( We had an executive swim up room , which was very clean and spacious. The courtesy car charged us 500,000Rp for a 3 minute ride down the road. Taxies would have been cheaper, but we were ready to leave. Our fault.

Very nice hotel . Spacious rooms . Friendly staff . Very comfortable bed and pillows . Breakfast was excellent wide variety of every kind of food item. The location is the only thing . It's about a 10=15minutes walk to the market area . It's on a very busy road Noisy traffic and the pavement aren't the best .broken in places , up and down .Cars parked directly on the pavements so you had to venture into the road . No it wasn't dangerous . We walked back late from the markets and felt safe . Just quite tiring if you've tromped around all the different Market stalls and shops then walking back to the hotel .you definately get more than the 10.000 steps . To the beach it was another 10mins+ . The beachis clean but has a lot of seaweed in. All loungers sun shades etc are for rental. And there are bars etc backing onto the beach. If you sit down for a bite to eat or drink there will be traders trying to sell you their wares . I don't mind them as it's how Bali was in the early 90's . There is no hotel on the beach . Only villas . The Hilton is about the closest to the beach area . So it's a toss up between a longer walk to the beach or into town. I would stay there again no problem. I also found Sanur cheaper than Legian, Nusa Dua and Seminyak . Balinese.are always very friendly people . Bargaining is still active at Sanur . Location is also great for Boat trips to Penida or any of the other islands

Used this hotel as a transit stop on arrival in Bali before going to Lembongan. It was ok, but just ok - and cannot understand why it has such good reviews. The hotel is in a poor location; main road and nothing close by. But we knew that when we booked. But the pictures are 100 times better than reality, and tbh it was overpriced. The hotel was tired, really needs a makeover. The quality prob was 3 star at best. On the upside, the staff were friendly and kind. Wouldn’t stay here again for transit, would prob book an airport hotel instead.
