We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant holiday, although there were a few aspects of our experience that could have been better. Everyone's experience is different, of course, but I wanted to share ours to help others make an informed decision. Upon arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were also able to access our room before the official check in time, which was greatly appreciated after travelling overnight. One of our first experiences at the hotel was being approached by a member of the spa team called Speedy. He was friendly, and we ended up booking one of the spa packages. The treatment itself was very good and something we enjoyed. However, as first time visitors to Turkey, it was also our first introduction to how frequently sales approaches can be part of the holiday experience. The food was good overall, with plenty of variety throughout our stay. We always found something we enjoyed, and the restaurant staff deserve special praise. They were hardworking, attentive, and consistently friendly. Shortly after arriving, we received a leaflet under our door stating it was very important to meet our representative at 10am the following morning regarding our airport transfer home, despite the fact we had arranged our own transfer independently. When we attended the meeting, it quickly became clear that the representative appeared to be working on behalf of several companies rather than solely the one we had booked through. We explained that we weren't interested in excursions and only wanted to confirm transfer information. Although we were assured there would be no sales pitch, the meeting turned out to be almost entirely focused on excursions. We were eventually told that our transfer details would only be available the day before departure. It felt less like an essential transfer meeting and more like a way of encouraging guests to book excursions. To avoid any awkwardness, we eventually found it easiest to politely say we'd think about it and leave. I'm sure the excursions are enjoyable for many guests, but the constant sales approach became quite tiring after a while. It often felt more focused on selling than helping guests enjoy the type of holiday they wanted. For us, that meant relaxing by the pool and exploring the local area independently. The all inclusive cocktails were perfectly acceptable, but I would recommend avoiding the premium cocktails that require an additional charge. I ordered a Piña Colada expecting a higher quality drink than those included in the package. Unfortunately, the opposite was true. The bar staff seemed unsure about the order, and the cocktail that arrived was extremely watery and tasted nothing like a Piña Colada. One thing I would highly recommend is the à la carte restaurant. In our opinion, the hotel doesn't promote it nearly enough considering how good it is. It can be booked through Guest Relations and costs just £5 per person. We thoroughly enjoyed our private four course meal and found it excellent value for money. The rooms were perfectly adequate, although overall the hotel felt closer to a good 3 star property than a true 5 star experience in our opinion. The biggest downside for us was the noise. The walls and windows seemed very thin, meaning we could hear almost everything happening around us. Most nights there were guests running through corridors, slamming doors, and talking loudly well past midnight. Our room faced the street, and even with the balcony door fully closed, it often sounded as though it was open. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to properly relax and get a good night's sleep on several occasions. On a more positive note, our cleaner was absolutely wonderful throughout our stay. She was genuinely friendly, always cheerful, and did an excellent job every day. Overall, we still enjoyed many parts of our holiday and had a good time. However, there were definitely areas where the hotel could improve, particularly regarding noise levels and the constant sales pressure. Whether those things affect your stay will depend on what you're looking for from your holiday.
